Default transition from with dx to with dx( diagnosis

I really need to hear from someone who found out in their 50's they had ADD and how did the process go. Misdiagnoses contributed my career loses and loss of relationship with daughter. Hope to hear from someone soon.

Hi,
Found out somewhat sooner, myself: when I was 40 something. Will be 55 this year. My ADD most definitely effected my education, work life, and interpersonal relationships in negative ways. Have suffered from clinical depression since about 10 years of age, possibly longer. I so wanted to be "normal." Fortunately, I finally found the answer (ADD) to why/how I was different. That allowed me to start exploring strategies for dealing with it.
