Below are some links that I just gave to someone else... I Just joined and haven't explored very much yet.
Also want to spread a positive word about people with ADHD-- we don't all start out "bad" or end up "bad." Humans are a diverse group and ADD-ers are a diverse group within that group. Think of us as being there to soup-up the diversity quotient. We are store clerks, corporate CEOs, entertainers, custodians, scientists, good parents, famous people, unknown people, helpful co-workers, professionals, etc, ETC - - who have ADHD. Great ideas fly out of our brain-stormy ADHD brains all the time - We need you there to help us catch them! Patient and loving parents, compassionate and open-minded educators, forward-thinking employers -- with your support, we have much to offer!! I get so tired of being looked at like my ADHD is a moral thing. IT'S NOT ! It's no wonder we have a reputation for behaving badly ! Yikes-- who put that soap box down there under my feet...? love from me, --Morag oh yeah, Here are those links: National Center for Learning Disabilities (includes info. on ADHD) http://www.ncld.org Bridges 4 Kids "building partnerships between families, schools, communities" -- (not just for ADHD) : http://www.bridges4kids.org/ ADDitude Magazine - for people Who Have ADHD: http://www.additudemag.com The Special Ed Advocate is a free online newsletter about special education legal and advocacy topics: http://www.wrightslaw.com/subscribe.htm
