Default Interesting Article from UNC Study

I just thought I would post an article of a study that UNC will be conducting and of the grant they received.

I do not have a child with autism, however I know that these kids are very special and it is very hard for me to see a child that can not express him/herself even though they want to. Our children are our lives and seeing them suffer is really hard to accept.

I hope this articles gives hope to all who are struggling and dealing with a child with autism.

Default Did I...

Did I offend people w/my post. I hope not, that was not my intent. But when I went back to read what I posted, it sounded like maybe I was saying child w/autism are difficult. I really just want to express my sincere care for all those caring for children w/special needs. My son is ADHD(dx since age 3, started medication at age 6, now 14)and Oppositional Defiance Disorder. Very loving and smart, but sometimes gets ahead of himself.

Please accept my apologies if my previous post/this post has offended anyone. It was not my intent.

Dear M,
Didn't offend me!

I have a 20 year old on the spectrum and he's pretty obnoxious sometimes. LOL Honest he is. Love him dearly of course. I have an 18 year old not on spectrum too and she's pretty difficult sometimes as well. I'm pretty difficult sometimes too.

Nah, nothing you said was offensive at all. It is very hard sometimes and tiring too. I'm tired of just having to keep 3 steps ahead of everything all the time. I make myself tired I think.

Thanks for posting the article. I've not checked in lately. Been busy.
You take care there.
