Default Bfs

I was told that I prob. have BFS. I have hypo thyroid and the beging stage of diabetes. About six yrs ago I had a severe uper resp. illness that landed be in the hospital for 5 days. After that I started to have spasams in my hands they would cramp up and I could not hold anything. It improved some then it started in my feet and legs. I gradualy became worse. A friend died from ALS so I knew it was not that. I am currently taking 20 mg of Baclofen 3x day and 5mg valium at nt. I am frustrated my one neur dr has left the state and they is only one other that handles muscle problems and my pcp does not want to send me there. HELP I try not to walk much I can handle the twitching but the cramping is another thing, anyone out there that can help?

Hi
I suffer from full body twitching cramping and neuropathy symptoms of burning stabbing tingling and etc..
You said you have thyroid problem and I have seen this mentioned in thyroid patients before.

For me no underlying cause is found yet. Have you had any testing like Emg/ ncv.

For me I always had lots if seosanol allergies and upper respotory infections and sore throat so maybe there is autoimmune going on.
Flu shy made me worse!!

Have you had your thyroids rechecked

It's hard but post on neuropathy side too they wil tell you lots tht will help.

Do you have any sensory issues?
