Well, Depakote is known for causing hair loss. Typically zinc is recommended to help with this.
But one cause of hair loss accompanied by weird endocrine problems is a pituitary adenoma. I had a woman patient once who had very similar problems...very sudden weight gain, and other endocrine aberrations. You'd have to have an MRI of the to find this. Depakote is also a female hormone disruptor. It can cause PCOS in women taking it. I think you should see an endocrinologist ASAP. That patient I knew had an MRI that showed the tumor. The arthritis may be another issue on top of your hormonal things, or not, depending on what is found. Good luck.
