Apologies if this is a bit technical." You can get as technical as you like. Because I correspond with Glenn, he explains everything to me and I can now understand much of what is technical. I just did a search of the CARD 14 mutations. OMG, poor Alan. He doesn't stand a chance does he? Both genetics (his family members have it also) and whatever triggered it. We'll never know. I just took a look and holy moly, they are now all red. I put some of that healing cream on it. I don't see this going away any time soon. All we can do is continue the anti-candida diet and maybe, just maybe it will calm down a bit. The more I learn, the more I know. Thankfully I like to learn stuff. But have you ever seen the guy on youtube. Just type in "Worse case of psoriasis". His videos are all over the place. Please, explain what the heck happened with this guy, he has this all over his body. He just uses a knife, or duct tape, or wax, or whatever (he experiments) and people just tune into him scraping the scales off of his skin. I mean, I NEVER saw such a case of psoriasis. He MUST have this mutation right? Thanks much Melody

Hi.
Alan is so not cooperating I can't begin to tell you. He doesn't care. He wants his ice cream, his snacks (I'm not enabling so that's not going to happen). He does eat my sprouts and loves them but he also eats sugar free cookies (that friends gave him, that I hid but that he found). He doesn't eat the whole box but when I explain what I'm trying to do here, he goes "But it's Sugar Free!!!" and I respond "They are processed, what don't you understand, I'm trying to clean out your system". He doesn't care about any system. So I'm not going to continue to kill myself just to take care of him. There is no one to take care of me. If he wants to go out and get himself a Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins ice cream, I can't stop him. I think once it gets warm outside that's exactly what he's going to do. He doesn't GET it. I DO!! Been getting it for 10 years. I know what to put in my body and what not to put in my body. But then again, I don't have the card 14 gene, I don't have severe neuropathy the way he does. He has chronic pain every day of his life. I can't imagine living like that but he does. And his psoriasis today is exactly the same as when I took him off all sugar, processed foods, wheat, etc. etc. Even adding the soothing healing cream that someone was nice enough to give me. Nothing is going to work in this man. I think that there was a trigger. I also think that when he had the laser treatment and it was ALL gone, and the doctor said "don't get hopeful, it WILL return with a vengeance", well the dermatologist was right on the money. I think these treatments may do the exfoliation of the skin cells which might last for 2 or 3 months but that because of the Card 14 mutation, they reappear and are worse. Alan NEVER had it like this 10 years ago. So I don't know what to do. I have to start taking care of myself because believe me, he is not capable of doing so. Oh well Melody

Hi there. Just wanted to tell you all that I just uploaded a photo (which actually is two photos of Alan, front of his legs and back of his leg). From these photos you can see what he is dealing with.
I titled the photo Alan's Psoriasis. Really bad. I feel for him Melody

Back in 1995 at the lecture on Pycnogenol, I met a man, Harry...at the time I was 57 and he was probably 72 or more and full of pep and life. He told us back then he was taking "food grade" H202 for some yrs. He said he will Never get cancer. After meeting him I did a lot of research etc and started on the H202 with distilled water solution. I did it off and on, worked up to I forget how many drops a day, there is a schedule on the dosing. Then I lost interest...then some yrs ago I got interested again and use it a bit in my early morning MSM drink...about 3 drops of the food grade...
Just met a new man on another group and I think he is 72 and says he NEVER goes to doctors....he uses all supps and good nutrition and healthy and vibrant...he said he's up to 23 drops of food grade h202 daily. So... I've lost contact with Harry so don't know if he's still around or not. He'd be 90something. On the psorasis, lots of info on going gluten free. My grandgirl just went gluten free and cleared up years of acne that drugs, peels, lasers would not budge. |

He's going to be 69 this year. Age has taken it's toll on this man with all these conditions. We do the best we can do. I just wish there was something to be done for his inflammation because THAT'S what is at the root of all of this. Inflammation. I know the advil helps. I also know you can't take too much of this. It's going to rain tomorrow so the barometer is changing. I really wish we lived in Arizona or Vegas or a tropical climate that is always hot. We never have pain when it is HOT. Melody
