I'm a fan of Stop The Thyroid Madness group and own the book. It's a good book to own and learn. They advocate very low TSH and upper end of range for T3 and T4. Mine are pretty much there and I'm on 120mg Armour which I finally got on in 2002. After a 10 year struggle with that "normal" mantra from docs.

I take Selenium daily and Iodine as well. I had highter TPO years ago and have not had that test for a good long while.

Thank for the reply. So how do you feel? You sound like you've got it all worked out for yourself.
Since my last post my numbers all went up and I feel like hell again. Getting off of gluten (again) and my endo prescribed 25mg of Synthroid which I've been on for a week or so. Too early to feel a difference. I actually have the STTM book and just joined the Yahoo group recently so I'm getting a lot of new info including that I should be on Armour and not Synthroid. There is so much conflicting info out there it is difficult to know what to believe. My endo even said gluten in my diet doesn't make a difference. What I REALLY need is a good doctor. I live in Chicago if anybody out there has one to suggest.

Stop the Thyroid Madness group has a good doc/bad doc list which should have the names of practitioners in Chicago.
