Default Autoimmune disease roller coaster

Does anyone else really get worn out going to doctors, having test done, having labs drawn and doses changed on a constant basis. Sometime i just want to tell my endocrinologist that maybe my labs on my thyroid are the normal for me. He is forever changing my dose I am hypothyroid, I have hasimoto's which he seems to disregard. I have raynauds disease and fibromyalgia. It is just exhausting. Now I have the onset of peripheral neuropathy so more labs and test. I have thought about looking into a new endocrinologist, but that can be a risk. I feel like he just reads the labs and changes my meds and sends me on my way
Sorry for the rant now I'm afraid I am prediabetic. My neuro ran some labs for my PN
and I am right on the line for prediabetes 5.7 was my a1c. Now it hasn't come from the doctors mouth yet. Still waiting on some other things to come back.
Some times I just get tired of it all. I have dealt with this for several years. Oh and last year found out I have ChiariMalformation I. They are keeping an eye on that. Its just one thing after another.
O.k. I'm off my venting thank you for listening.

Ok, I've been the path of tests, tests and more tests...and today's docs unlike the old timers. do NOT go by patient's SYMPTOMS.....I have finally arrived at a place where I don't want tests anymore.... I went thru 10 miserable years of thyroid tests with endos and got the same song, you are fine, your labs are good. I was not fine, I was in a clinical depression.

And a D.O. I had for my back, knew better and he put me on Armour NO TESTS and the years of depression was gone.

It's so tough to find that SWEET SPOT DOC.....they are dead, many of them.

Ever thought of an integrative MD or naturopath?

And YOU can keep your A1C in a good place by reducing sugars and carbs...

So much work on being your own doctor, Patient Heal Thyself....

I had severe Repetitive strain injuries, and a work comp claim, PTs, MDs , HR & dealing with "limited hand use/no wrist rotation" work restrictions in a manufacturing work place..
Yes, it can become like that process is ruling your life at times... sometimes if possible, you need to take a break from it all.. space out the appts if you can .. listen to soothing music and breath deeply to calm your mind..

I do suggest looking at some alternative care providers..
DO as mentioned..
What is a DO? | American Osteopathic Association
maybe even naturopath, acupuncture, dietitian..

If you suspect diabetes or pre diabetes you don't have to wait for a test to show it, there are many books (in libraries) & website articles with things to try for meals & lifestyle..
