Default MS and/or lupus plus allergic reaction to sulfa drug?

For the last 5 years no diagnosis of MS but I've had continuous testing, no answers.

Last month I was given sulfa drug Bactrim-DS and within 2 days had a severe emergent allergic reaction with low temperature, bright red skin, swelling etc.

Now one month later after a flu ? bout, I have a rash all over, redness to face comes and goes, and red spots coming and going all over my body.

I went to the doctor and he said it might be allergies.

Now I am thinking it is not MS and instead lupus which is coming to a head now 5 years later.

Can anyone give me any insight?

Terri

Welcome Terrijean. Sorry to hear about your reaction to Bactrim. Allergic reaction to meds are no fun, I know I have had more than my share.

As to your question about Lupus, there is a sticky at the top of the forum with several links to lupus information. Since I really don't know anything about Lupus, I have MS, that's where I would start. Hopefully, someone here who has Lupus will chime in with some answers.
