I tend not to think of this weekend as a holiday as there is nothing really special about it... so, for me, it's just another day.

i am sorry you will be alone. i have been there... spent Christmases, Thanksgivings alone. New years too - i slept through one sorta accidentally on purpose, if you know what i mean.

i will try to check into the forum periodically tomorrow... i hope that will help you not feel so isolated. if we end up on at the same time, and if we are both up to it, we could chat too. i feel very isolated also ... and alienated here ... all my friends are in the US.

i'll post or something if i am around for chatting... it will depend on how wacky i feel... today i was really sort of giddy ... hypersensitive to everything... noise light (no migraine, just annoyed by stuff). been doing things hit and run style... bit of this, snippet of that, lots of nothing, head going too fast... hard to concentrate at times. so i can't promise. but i will definitely check in and post.

hi all

i just wanted to say hi, i'm finally awake ... insomnia like crazy, and then this morning my housemates kept waking me up - once by a screaming fight, whereupon i put in earplugs but... anyway, i have had enough sleep now.

but Star Trek (the first series!) rerun is about to air... at... it would be 10.05 eastern time. so i will be back around 11 eastern time... whatever that is everywhere else lol, and see if anyone else is around/ has checked in.

i skipped my med today. i am hoping i will not feel as weird as yesterday.

I love Star Trek. I've seen that one about 30 times. The first Star Trek TV series where my favorites. Then the first movie was a surprise.

I like many kinds of space programs. I like Stargate,SG-1,Stargate Atlantis,Star Trek the Next Generation,and the others.

Kirk,Spock,Scottie,McCoy,and etc. Battle Star Gallactica,the Outer Limits,the X-Files etc. BF

dang if you had been here today, you wouldn't have been alone and PLUS it turned out to be a super Trekkie day! ... and with an episode of the battlestar galactica miniseries in between (i watched the movie last night, but i didn't start with the miniseries, otherwise, too much tv, i'd be glued to it! ). But I have a feeling i'd like the series better than the movie from the bits i saw... what did you think?

anyway, tonight, big surprise, they showed the first Star Trek movie also!

i too love all the Star Trek series (although not so much the newest prequel they invented? didn't see but snippets though). however my big favorite also is the very first series with Kirk and Spock and McCoy and Scottie Ohura Zulu.... ahhh. those were the days.

it actually took me a while warm up to Next Generation... but not too long. Now, Star Trek Voyager - well, at first, i HATED the captain so i refused to watch the show, LOL ... but then i came around and really liked that too. and she really wasn't as bad as all that, lol. plus with Jeri Ryan as a re-hab'd ex-borg... lol, that was cool. i really got into deep space nine too. i think that might be the only one i can claim to have actually seen every single episode. probably because it wasn't airing as reruns at that point but was on prime time... i didn't "discover" Trek until adulthood... you see.

saw both Star Wars.

couldn't sit through Dune, but i heard the book was better.

never seen any of the Star Gates tho.

well missed you on line today i did check for updates but there were none. i hope you maybe you found something to do and weren't off feeling bad in a corner... if so, YOU SHOULDA CHECKED IN we coulda chatted!!! well, for another time.
