Default Too Depressed

Dear Mari,

Can you e-mail a return to your former professor, telling her you are currently too ill to make it the 30th, congratulating her, thanking her again for her help to you 7 years ago, and telling her you will TRY to make it to her November events, but that your illness is chronic. Or something to that effect? You would not have to be more specific than you wanted to. I am glad that you are still able to work!! I know that it is hard at times. You have helped ME, and I am grateful. billie

Let us know how you're doing when you can.

I hope you got to rest/sleep and are feeling better by now.

Default Thank you.

Hi,

I haven't been knocked out like this for awhile.
I keep waiting for each day to get better.
Maybe tomorrow will be better.
I napped. That helped.

I'm not answering mail or phone or doing anything I need to be doing.

And I don't know what to do for the cold except remember to sleep (HA!). Yes. I'm going to bed soon.

M.

Default brain not working. head cold seems to winning at the moment.

I just listened to my home phone messages -- mostly medical stuff.
I don't understand them. People tell me to call them back and I cannot catch the number.
Then I can't match the number to caller id.
People need to leave better messages if they expect a call back.
I deleted the messages.
(Maybe the important ones will call me back -- or not. I don't care.)

Tdoc called to arrange some appt. times (too complicated! more than one time!! )
Very confused right now.
So I just called her machine now and told her to pick a time and I would be there.

Dear Mari,

i hope you get through your cold soon. all of us are just a bit sick with the cold/sinusy/drippy stuff too. ick.

i'm sorry things went KO at work for you. i keep hoping you start feeling better soon, and that you are able to get your sleep in somehow.

i think if stuff was important people will call back. didn't they always tell us that as kids when we said "i forgot what i was going to say?" answer: well if it was important, you'll remember later. LOL. i don't know why that seems similar to me. maybe not.

hey maybe you could ask hubby to change your outgoing message. have him speak slowly (it sets the pace) and ask for people to leave a message "stating their number slowly and distinctly". i dunno. i dunno if i would do it... it was just an idea.

i want for things to be easier for you and for you to feel well again.

the blog link is not really new. only how it is presented. it used to be posted as a locked sticky thread - notice that is gone now? this way makes more sense to me since it wasn't really a "thread."

This is wonderful advice, Waves.
We have voice mail through the phone company -- so I need to research (Call the company) tomorrow -- don't feel like doing it on-line now right now.

I told hubby before he went to sleep that I need him to help me by leaving a message asking people to speak slowly and clearly. This can help.

It is not in any other mental health forums that I can tell.
