I heard from the gyno today, she said to do another CBC and to get an appt with her ASAP, also the good news is the flow has slowed tremendously, I am not gushing anymore, hoping this means it was a mentral period and not something worse...We'll see how it goes...

yes, this is good news. thanks for letting us know.
indeed, it seems that if things have slowed down it is very likely menstrual. i am so glad you got hold of the doc, now i just hope her appointment book will accommodate you really ASAP. ((( hugs ))) ~ waves ~ Last edited by waves; 10-27-2009 at 08:47 AM. |

I went to see her and we discussed the next step, vaginal hysterectomy. I am so depressed and disappointed. I feel like my uterus has turned on me for some reason and I hate that I have to go through 2-6 weeks of recovery in the near future. It's scary for me, but it WILL be the final step, there will BE no more bleeding after that I hope or else it will mean more surgery...ANd most likely a two day hospital stay...I could just cry.
HOW will Jackie handle it? Heck, how will I handle it? Not being able to walk and stuck in a chair, With my autistic son pushing me around? I just have a lot of fear about this...More then I care to admit... I am so scared!

I hope I do not make this sound bad but my mom, she got a hysterectomy, and she was SO HAPPY. Like she was in pain before, then she got is and then she was like HAHA RIP THAT SUCKER OUT DOC! My mom wanted that surgery and she got it and she like is so glad she did because she feels all better. And she no longer has periods because of it and that is a plus to her.
I am sorry if you do not want the surgery. You sound like you do not want it. So I am hoping there will be other options to your liking? Sharla

You will get through this. And things will be so much better. I have a feeling you will be wondering why you worried about it. I think Jackie will do just fine. Between Jack and your mom. remember there are people who care about him, and you. Donna |

My mom said she was very nervous about her surgery but she when she came out of the surgery she felt way better. Like she told me she barely had to use her pain killers because she felt a lot better. And trust me my mom is a pansy when it comes to surgeries.(that is what she told me to say about her lol) She told me though that you have to listen exactly to what your doctor says. My mom for the first 3 weeks was not allowed to drive. She was only allowed to use the bathroom and stuff. That was it. But then 5 weeks after that she was not allowed to lift a thing. This is so you do not hemorrhage. Did I say that right? All together It took her 8 weeks to heal. But it might take lesser time for you because they might have a better procedure these days. You will still bleed here and there. But it is like spotting because you are healing. That is all I learned from my mom. I hoped I helped. My mom said do not worry too much it was not too bad. And she said she glad when it was done.
