Default Feeling Sluggish

I want to lay in bed and do absolutely nothing. It is raining outside I have some letters I should mail but I seriously do not want to go out and do it because it is wet and cold. I have some chores I said I was going to do and I seriously do not feel like it at all today.
Yep. No motivation on what so ever today. I cooked pancakes and I had some coffee and now I feel good and sleepy. Oh I feel terrible lazy today. I have to kick myself in the pants to do anything I am suppose to these days.

Default cold and rainy day

Dear Sherla,
Sometimes it is ok to go with what you feel.
Do you ever let your body and mind do what they want?

I could really see staying inside on a yucky day.

I hate when the only thing we seem to have energy for is beating ourselves up.

Seriously, who blames you for staying in - it's yucky out. If the sun comes out tomorrow you can pop your letters in the post and nothing will have been lost.

And you did make pancakes and coffee. On my bad days, I'd eat nothing or, at best, I'd eat the instant mix and coffee granules right out of their respective packages. Yeah, I'm not proud, but I've done that.

Sending sunny thoughts your way...

I agree.... our bodies and minds need sometimes to rest... sleep... relax....

Take care !

Thumbs up Dear Sharla

I think it's ok that you took it easy today. I know you work hard a lot of the time. Even if you were literally "lazy" as you say, doing that on occasion is just fine. But it sounded to me more like just a laid back day where you wanted a break... and went with the flow. You have my blessing! Banish the guilt!

pancakes and coffee ... yummmmmmmmm. Next time, i want an invite, though!

Staying was great. But I can not help but to notice that I feel like this all the time. I feel like i have no motivation for anything. I have like stopped doing homework. The only thing I have not stop was working. I am going to force myself to do homework tonight. That is if I do not fall asleep first. But at least I got the kitchen and landry squared away.

Sharla

Heart you have ADD right?

i think what you're experiencing is just part of that.

also i'm noticing that you do things... just perhaps not the things that might be priority... if i'm reading between the lines right, homework needs more attention than you are giving it. so that is getting action in sync with priorities. that is also a difficulty for people with ADD.

getting the kitchen and laundry squared away is great... that's productive! ... it seems like motivation or not, you are getting SOMETHING done.

you do need to find a way to get back on top of the homework somehow. forcing myself works for some people, not others... if that works for you that is great. if not, there are other ways....

(i am terrible with self-discipline! )

Dear Hockey,

Wow, that sounds like a bad day.
On the other hand, you are resourceful.

I eat lots of foods that require no preparation: store bought hummus, soy yogurt, cottage cheese, cheese and bread, canned soups, banana with cashew butter and honey (trying to add more fruits and veggies.) The best thing is that clean up is easy.

Hubby cooks for us but we eat at different times.
And truthfully, he is high energy so I sometimes I'd rather eat in quiet by myself.

Crazy minimal eats

PBJ and orange juice.

use a paper towel for a plate. lick the knife clean and reuse for next meal (when living alone, this is not an issue.)

~ waves ~

p.s. PB & Honey is good too. either one on wheat of course.
