Default Being Positive

Hello folks,

I am unwell. The Lupusy kind of unwell that is hard to describe. I am achy, have constant low temperature, swollen watering eyes that keep closing, drowsiness and an oozy mind.
The narco painkiller with paracetamol, takes the edge off, but apparently there is a lot more behind the edge.

What I wanted to say was that I am itching to join in the threads, but exhausted. I read 'though, and feel good.

So go on. And thank you for making me feel a part of you all.

A special hug goes out to Waves. she got me here.

Dear Isis,

Actually, I think that you did draw a pretty good description.
Sometimes the body and mind make us pull back inside our selves for a while. Take care.
I hope that the flare eases up soon.

We know you are here even if you are not posting.
How is that? Is that ok?

Heart Dear Isis

Thank you for the special hug. I can use them. I am glad you decided to come on over here.

and backatcha!

You needn't feel pressured to post. I am glad you checked in however. It is always good to hear from you. We have other members who are very unwell and simply cannot post much... you are not alone. Try not to be uneasy about it. Read and post, as you are able and desire to. We are here. And all of us go through better and worse too.

Just think, if we were all well and had no problems whatsoever, these forums wouldn't exist.

I hope the yucky Lupusy unwell flare lets up soon.

more hugs ... the old-fashioned kind:

((( Isis )))

I am sorrry you are unwell,
glad that you checked in.
It still doesn't soundlike they are giving you enough pain meds to be under control. you see a pain mangement specialist?
sorry that you are not at your best and that the lupus monster has his grips on you.

Default Thank you all

I am online for a little bit.
Thank you all very much for writing back.
Bizi, I am having a whole lot of pain meds. Problem is that any stress, strain or exposure to sunlight triggers a peak in a already existing flare.
A few days ago I had some anxious moments with my daughter. Usual teenage behaviour. She tends to be very intense with no regard for her own security, and like every teenager thinks she knows it all.
Well, the result is me sitting in my pajamas through the day.
Love to all of you

Default Panicking

Today is the pits - really!
It is no point even trying to describe what is wrong.

What is worrying me now is that I think I am hitting the depression mode - not the clinical kind - but the fed up kind. I hope it doesn' get worse

For the first time ever since I became house bound, I think I will ask a friend to come and spend some time with me.

I hate doing this - prefer to let them make their own time. I don't want them to think they 'need' to see me. But today I need to call in a favour.

Thank you Bizi for writing back - you won't believe how much it means to me.

Heart Sending hugs

Dear Isis,
I'm sorry.

Sending the friend over to be with you is a good idea.
I hope you can let the friend help you. Maybe you can try to think of it as doing a favor to the friend. You are giving the friend a chance to help you.

In my case, sleep is always a good idea and the best way to help a situation. Are you sleeping? Can you sleep more?

'Hoping you feel better soon.

M.

Heart ((( Isis )))

I hope your friend can come over and be with you. It sounds like you don't reach out in that way too often. I agree with Mari... sometimes people don't know how to help - or don't want to be a "bother" to someone who is unwell. This can give them a sense of despair and powerlessness, which does neither of you any good.

Asking for company gives your friend the opportunity to be there for you and feel that they matter and can help you. That will be a good feeling for them. It is not all one way.

Anyway i hope you start feeling better. Perhaps you will as the day goes by.
