Hi, Bear,

I hope Con does well in his surgery.
You went through an amazing ordeal. Give yourself time to recover -- and take the pains when you need them.

Work should give you some slack already.

Dear Befuddled,
I hope that you get better soon. In the meantime, sleep and sleep.

Thanks Mari for your post. Its been a rough road these past couple of months. I thought all the dx's were over long ago. I was dx'd with FM in 2000 so I long ago accepted that....or so I thought. With the BP, this is all brand new and now I have to figure this new jungle out. It feels like getting dx'd with FM all over again. So I have kind of been in a mental tizzy over everything and while my hubby tries to "help";) and understand, it is hard for him.
Sigh...I am just glad that this website has FM, CP and BP forums to go to so that I can get support from everyone in one spot.:D

Sunday 10am- Thanks Doody for the info on Nioxin, I will get some, even though I am going to the Dermo on Wed for the injections which have always worked for me.
Julie it is scary, but I think I am so used to getting it, although its been a few years now.
Hi everyone, hope everyone is feeling better today.
Went dancing Friday night after we went out to dinner, it was fun, haven't danced since I lived back East and that's 2 1/2 yrs ago.
Mom is sick today with the stomach bug.
Not sure what today will bring. Feeling tired. It's sunny but still a chilly morning, takes awhile for it to warm up to the 60's in January here.
Everyone kick back, take time for yourself, decompress stress (if that's possible) just do what you want to do.

Hugs, Nikko;)

Feeling much more in control today...a couple of days of geodon will do that for me thankfully.
I will continue to take this at night for a while until I am sure that I will sleep well without it.
today is a day to clean up the house a bit...pull some weeds out of the yard and go to the mall with my friend and her baby girl.
I baby sitted for her the other day and that was a real eye opener...3 months old...only 21/2 hours and that about did me in and she napped some of that time.
wow!
I think that not having children was definately the best thing for me.
enjoy your sunday!

Hair loss

Hi,
I am brand new to this site. I was diagnosed with Celiac disease in November. The diet is finally helping me feel better, but now I am losing my hair. I am a 59 yr old female and always had thick hair. I had thyroid tests and they were ok. My dermatologist said my scalp is very dry and she put me on anti-histamines. Hair is thinning fast. Does this happen to Celiacs and if it does, will the hair come back?

Dear B,
Welcome. :)

Are you on medication?
Hair loss can happen after a trauma.

Hi Mari,

Thanks for your reply. No I am not on any medication, just following a gluten free diet. I started taking vitamin pills and added one for hair and nails. My nails are fine! I did break out in hives all over, including my head. The hives appeared right after being diagnosed. I am taking anti-histamines for the hives and they are finally gone. I weighed 120 pounds, but fell to below 110 before being diagnosed. I had constant diahrea. Maybe due to lack of food absorption and hives, my hair decided to leave me. I will check out the websites you sent me. I am just hoping this is a temporary thing. Finally starting to feel human again and now my hair is falling out. What next?
