Heart yes wait it out

Dear Bobby,
Try to relax about the exercise issue.
You are already doing a lot of work to get through each day / each minute.

You gave me a good suggestion when you told me to stop bothering my husband about his OCD traits and the clothes, and books, and DVDs he brings home. He seems to use his stuff to quell anxiety.
You said something a long the lines that if what he is doing works, then that is wonderful because anxiety is awful.

If worry about exercise causes you difficulties, then maybe drop the worry / concern for now.

We all always have the option to change our minds again in the future.
I'm very sorry that you are suffering.

M.

i agree.

and about the pasta. pasta is healthy. too much of it is a lot of carbohydrates but even then, really, there are much much worse things, nutritionally speaking! if you find pasta comforting can you agree with yourself to have a certain amount of it, every day, once a day? this could be a way to moderate the quantity, yet still have your comfort food to look forward to and enjoy.

thank you waves and mari. i will drop the worry about exercise and try to drop the obsessing about a dog. i read more of rabbi nachman who really tortured himself to get closer to God but who writes so positively towards forgiving ourselves and moving forward.
thanks about the heads up with pasta..it is either whole wheat pasta or dreamlands pasta which is good for diabetes. Last night i decided I will still eat the comfort food but this time cut down the portion. I eat a big bowl full and feel satiated...maybe too full. I am sure i can cut back and not feel deprived. I have to look on the net and see if there is a pasta diet somewhere.
I love you all and i know part of this is a crisis of love....i have to learn to let it flow in rather than block it. It is so hard. It is so also a bipolar deal. ugh

Dear Bobby,
You sound like you have moved on a little bit.
Keep reading Rabbi Nachman. He seems to be helping you.

i may have made a psychological breakthru yesterday. I talked at length with my dear friend and it was like intensive therapy. she made me feel that i wasn't to blame for anything since i seem to have been carrying guilt since childhood. my parents were very hard on me and i am extremely critical of myself. I have been going around in the other direction and trying to forgive myself for beating myself up so much. I am still working on that also.. Add bipolar and what a mess. Yesterday after I talked with her, i was sobbing most of the time. I have also been reading a lot of Rabbi Nachman and rereading his thoughts. He says it is very important to meditate which i don't do. I have been focussing on God'smercy to me. My friend says that sounds as if I feel guilty and God is showing mercy to me.I don't think that God has to show mercy to you. Even my cheery visitor is a golden safety net who was just thrown to me. What can i say? Have any thoughts? I shouldn't be afraid of death because God has shown mercy on me. Then I started fearing that at the rate i am going i won't be able to walk more than a few steps. Then i realized all i have to do is lose weight and that should solve that problem. I feel so bombarded. I am also reading more on Maimonides and a junk book. I think i should spend more time on the junk book since i am dealing with too many heavy things. I am still determined to leave dr.m.
bobby thank you for asking
how are you doing?

Red face

Dear Bobby,
You can learn to reparent yourself.
If your parents failed you then you can do this yourself.
goggle reparenting...I know there are alot of good books out there.
I will see if any of sark books talk about this.

Heart Mercy

Mercy is in a lot of prayers of Christians and Muslims (can't remember the Jewish prayers right now.

When we remember to say grace, hubby and I say a Muslim prayer asking for God's mercy: In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate.
I suppose that when we say these prayers we are asking for mercy OR asking ourselves to be reminded of God's blessings and mercy.

I don't know what to think about mercy either. I'm going to think more about this. I'll talk to you later. I have to take a "nap" before a meeting at work.

Read the junk book. Do what ever you can do each day that makes the day possible for you.

I'm sorry to see you leave Dr. M. I thought he was good for you. But you feel ready to move on -- you know what you need.
I hope you are all right today.
