Crazy world or sane reaction??
Quote:
BTW -Cortizone is so powerful that any hypersensitivity issues very likely become exaggerated. Have you considered that blocking out all external stimulus is a valid escape from constant bombardment which the modern world imposes on many of us? If the whole world could show symptoms as a physical being, would it likely feel and look like what you're going through? Maybe it is a sign of normalcy in a world gone crazy? This re-framing to suggest that many here on this site carry a sort of 'shamanic' pattern for the sake of the world becoming conscious on a personal and collective level usually gets me through the toughest times. Often this is the only way I can make sense of why and what next. Often I pretend I am doing my part, playing my role for the sake of some destined outcome in the world consciousness, which I may never know. Somehow the suffering and confusion lessons with this mind game. And remember it takes a few months for the thyroid to settle in with tx's. My doctor insists on levoxyl, quite emphatic about it in fact. I guess due to synthroid quality control issues at some time in the past. Hang in there, and get a county clinic to do the blood work and supervise if you can't afford a regular doctor. Rates are affordable and doctors don't have to be great, just able to read a blood test and understand the changes. Good luck to you. Best Wishes TT:hug: |
Hi TT...that is a very thoughtful insight! Sorry to hear you've been through somewhat of the same. Seems as though I think a lot like you! I won't feel so bad about myself now when I need to shutdown. I was able to get my levels checked today and will know by Sunday. I am very sensitive to cortisone, and have stayed away from it as much as I can, but, unfortunately the need became too great with upper trochanter bursitis in my hip and a bad acv joint in my shoulder on the same side. Really don't want to have another shoulder surgery.
Truly, there is a positive side if we can just see it. I think a lot about archtypal patterns in humanity as a whole and it's spiritual evolution. When I can type with more than one finger... I will share a piece of poetry with you that I feel you will be able to appreciate! Thank you so much for the understanding and support! Love and ((((hugs))))) to my friends here!! |
Dear Mistis,

I look forward to your poetry when you feel better. One thing I know for sure-- every thing will change... Law of averages must play out.... When I feel like you described your process, the imperative is to go within the cave, den, womb or whatever one calls it. Feeling bad about needing to do this is like feeling bad rain is wet. Makes no difference to the process whatsoever. Again good news/bad news paradox.:winky: if it is your time to turn within some part of you is in charge and "going gracefully with held held high is preferable". Quote from Marian Woodman or "squealing like a pig led to slaughter" is how she put the alternative choice. She is my hero, and I've gained much from her view of Jungian philosophy."Conscious Femininity" being a favorite book. She may have actually saved my sanity and life during my thyroid issues. I think the best medicine for the 'cave' is a Jungian, I can recommend her highly. Have a regenerative holiday and let the dark be what it is without judgment. The other side has to come sooner or later...Trust your process... Best wishes TT:hug: |
Misti and TT
((( TT ))) ... thank you, i so appreciate your insightful participation in this thread!
((( Misti ))) thinking 'bout you... hoping you feel better soon overall, and that you feel less awkward now about the need to "hole up" for a while. I am glad you managed to have your thyroid levels checked already! wishing you both peace ~ waves ~ |
yes any steroids can make us out of whack, can cause insomnia, cause mania and then a crash....hormones can do this also. When I go thru menopause it will be hormone free.
I hope that you are feeling more stable less vulnerable. ((((HUGS)))) bizi you can't run out of your thyroid meds!!!!!!!!!!!! |
wondering...
Dear Misti,
how are you doing, overall... how are you feeling? what was the outcome of your thyroid tests? were you able to get a script, either way? (like Bizi says, it is unsafe to suspend thyroid meds while waiting for an adjustment.) i hope you will be able to check in and let us know how things are going...:hug::hug: ~ waves ~ |
Just want to write a (finger) haha.. A quick note. My levels were a bit off and I have my med now, i only had to go a short while without it. Very often my pride gets in the way of help that is offered. Dare I admit that?? I am feeling a bit more balanced, thanks from the depths of my heart to my friends here!!!! Who else in this whole world, save God Himself, would truly understand, and be able to help lift me up and help me to understand as well??? I love you all and hope your new year is safe and happy!! I will be able to write and read more in a few days. I have read a lot here and you all have my love, prayers, and admiration!
