Smile I wish I had been a fly on the walls of the Animal Clinic today!

Okay its a odd title. But its a very interesting, heart warming story to me.

My son as you might remember spends Monday and Tuesday's from 9 to 11:15am. There working for them, helping with the animals or whatever else he can do.

First, christmas eve while he was with me at the Med Express, his boss showed up at my home. With two gift certificates for him. A $25.00 on
for Cracker Barrel and a $50.00 one for Walmart. The cards said, For a
good job. I have to say not only was he surprised, his dad and I were
too. But Derrick was and still is very in awe that she gave it to him.

Today he was given a paying Job. They told him that he does to much
work not to get paid. I didn't get to see his face when he was picked
up. But I got a second hand story from my husband. But he did tell
me when he got home tonight, that he didn't expect it. And he is
so delighted. So we filled out his paperwork, and I have to find
his other things he needs.

But it goes to show, he took a chance with a job of his choice. Hoping that
someday he could find a job in the field. Today he has one.

Exclamation That is just wonderful!!!

You must be just beaming, Donna!

Congratulations to Derrick... i just know he deserved it.

And yes i can see how you'd have liked to have been a fly on the wall... lol... for sure.

Thanks for sharing this heartwarming success story. We hear less and less stories about people appreciating people on the job, and making the "appreciation" concrete! Too often in analogous situations hardworking folks just get taken advantage of. This is really cool.

This made me smile in general. And I am very happy for Derrick.

Dear Donna,

You have a wonderful son.

When I was a kid my mother wanted me to volunteer at the library.
After a few months of volunteering, I was put on the pay roll.

It's a great feeling to get paid.
