light snow
we had light snow a couple of days ago. just enough to stay on the trees, rooftops and grass for short while, not enough to mess up the roads. it was pretty. :) it is almost all gone now our temps are going up for a couple days.

Its been bad here again the last couple of days. Snowing and all the
other stuff that comes with it. I have been home, in my house most the time. Thanks to a cold and sinus mess. Just out doing only necessary things. Donna:grouphug::hug: |

I've been into radio since the 60's. I've always thought that it was cool. If it bothers me,i'll simply turn it off. When I lived in the capital city of my State,I was listening to a police chase, that turned out to be tragic. I didn't want to hear any scanner activity for about 6 months,or more. I listen to it while in the computer room late at night when not to much is going on. In my computer room I usually leave the State Police frequencies off, because I'd be distracted all the time. I listen to County, and SIRS. It's pretty quiet. While I'm in the den,or TV room,I can't stand a scanner being on. It breaks my concentration. If a bunch of police cars,or fire trucks drive by,I may start listening to a few scanners to see what is going on. Sometimes in the tv room I'll get bored, and search for frequencies on the scanner that are active. BF:hug::hug::hug: I think that scanners get on most people's nerves though. My sister doesn't want scanners,or antennas at her house. BF:hug::hug::hug: |
I think he is probably right. I have a mother-in-law that used to listen
to one. It for her was company though. Weird as that sounds. She listened more to the ambulance calls than anything. It was to hear at one time if her friends were being picked up by a ambulance. She would then let us all know what was going on in our little town that way. I somewhat miss it. Donna:grouphug::hug: |

Wacky weather
Hi,
I want two or three cool days so that I can feel ok about the strange weather pattern. It gets to 80 degrees everyday. We are short rain except an early morning shower every once in a while. M |
It has been whacky weather here as well.
we are to have some much needed rain this week. bizi |
Wacky Weathermen
it keeps snowing and melting into slush by noon.
nightsnow dayslush nightsnow dayslush. doesn't matter i can't seem to do anything but sleep in the daytime. :o:eek: tomorrow they say sun. along with the polar temps even worse than we were supposed to have already - but haven't. (that's ok by me, but i'd like it just cold enough for the snow to stay put.) as it is it is just slushy enough to discourage my mom from doing her usual rounds so she is home more... fretting fussing and banging about the place... sigh. as long as it doesn't rain. rain in winter sucks. cold wetness is the worst combination. ~ waves ~ diffident of the weathermen worse than ever before. maybe they are conspiring with the clothes manufacturers to get people to buy heavier clothing hehe. or supermarkets, to stock up on food before we all get trapped in a giant icecube... they make it sound like the great ice age is gonna hit... and we're all gonna end up like squirrat, remember when he got frozen like a popsicle? mmmm, popsicles. there's a thought. |
