I am getting anxious to hear from my new lawyer this week. He said the week before last that I would hear from him in 10 to 14 days. Well, it will be 14 days this Thursday so hopefully I will know something by Thursday night. I really see no news yet as a good sign. I've been wondering forever if I am the beneficiary of my ex's savings plan. He's been gone since Dec. 07 so it weighed heavy on my mind all this time. At 1st the house was my main concern. Then the last attorney dragged her feet so much on the savings plan that I got my new attorney. I could use some more money to live on.

My legs and back were hurting me really bad today all day and still do. I honestly do not know how I will ever hold a job as much pain as I am in a lot of days. I hardly got anything done today cause of the pain. I did get a few errands run though.

Sorry to hear you in pain today! I do not know your whole story so I was wondering if you ever tried to go for disability. I am on disability and it has helped me out a lot! It took two years to get it but it was worth the wait!

Hi Colleen and Beth. I am already on disability but do not get enough a month to live without extra money aside or working part time. I could have went into a subsidized high rise but did not want to go that route. I love to be able to open my door to the outside world instead of into a hallway of endless other doors. I'm in the process of trying to cut my expenses like getting rid of cable TV. I'm thinking of getting Fios TV, internet, and phone. Or maybe the phone jack would be a good idea. I'm running out of money fast and need to do something.

I would not want this either! I am sorry you don't make enough money on disability! I don't make that much either but I have my husband for all the bills! Different situation completely for you! Just try and stay calm while you wait for the lawyer to call you!

Waves, thank you too. I have a hard time getting to appointments for all my medical appointments to have things checked out. I basically can drive to most but things like the colonoscopy I need but I need someone to go with me to that. I need the colonoscopy more than anything at the moment. I've had trouble with my bowels for years and still don't know why yet. I guess I should try to take care of these things soon though like getting my leg pain checked out. The doc guessed years ago and said that the leg pain is coming from the spine.

Have you had a xray to see if it could be arthritus. I would check
this out. The thing is that causes pain. OR if there is pain in
other parts it could be fibromyalgia.

I've been told by others that I could have fibro but I think my pain comes from just an older beaten up body. I just dread all the x-rays and such as I've been through all that so much before. I don't want anymore spine surgery and that is what the doc wanted to do about 7 or 8 years ago. I'm wondering what good the x-rays will all do if I don't want anymore surgery. Unless it is just to document my limitations in what I can do to work.

I just ordered the magic jack for phone service. I will be getting a 30 day free trial. This will save me about $40 a month if I get rid of my cable phone and only use the magic jack. I also checked out life insurance policies to get a lower value for a lower rate. I will save $7 a month on that if I can get it. Once I have cable TV taken out that will save me about $40 a month also for a total savings of almost $90 a month. I am paying $100 less a month in rent than the old apartment so I am not doing too bad in learning to make my dollar stretch.
