hair thread... hear hear
Dear Mari,
those are good points about the wait, and the 3 months timeline. i haven't snipped after you posted to wait a week, btw. the haircut was thursday. snipped an aberrant wisp on friday & one saturday, then no more. :D;) it helps that it stays in a bun with the barrette. maybe i can manage this. righto! your turn! Tiho
Waves,
This probably takes too long to explain. The person who has been cutting my hair for years went into the hospital last month so I had to get it cut by someone else in the shop who is really awful. She's very negative and is a bad hair dresser but she shares counter space with Tiho and, because Tiho asked us to do so, whenever he had to be out of town clients went to her. I'm sad that Tiho is gone. He was wonderful. I liked him because he was a good guy. I will miss him and the great job that he did on my hair. M. |
I am sorry about tiho:(, that is a long time to have the same hair dressser.
I understand you have to start all over with some one new now.... not fun! bizi |
Thanks, Bizi.

i'm sorry about Tiho, Mari. :( sounds like you had a bond.
i hope he will be ok... do you know what is wrong? i'm also thinking... would you want to go to the hospital to visit - just a short drop by thing... or maybe send a card... i mean it isn't like he's on vacation ... but i don't know if that would feel right. i don't know if you will want to explain... sorry the new other person isn't doing a good job too. that is hard. i would feel obligated to go there and kind of stuck with bad hair. :( i wonder if you could have him just trim and could go to another hairdresser to fix it? :eek: that sounds traumatic though. you'd first have to find another good one. i had a hairdresser when i was growing up who was really good. she knew just how to cut my hair, just right. i haven't lived in the same country as her for decades now - that's how i come i don't still have her. ~ waves ~ |
Dear Waves,
I edited too much of my post. Tiho went into the hospital for a gall bladder operation and died three weeks later of complications and then a heart attack. The phone person said that they tried to contact his clients to let them know. She said his passing has been hard on everyone in the shop. He was in his 70s. Every time I saw him I silently wished him longevity and good health because I wanted him to live forever. He had an interesting life story that he told me in bits and pieces over the years. I'm glad that I got to know him. M. |
Oh Mari! :(:heartthrob::(
I am so sorry. :( thank you for explaining. this is so sad. i am glad you got to know Tiho too. i wish him well in his next spiritual abode. ~ waves ~ |

Are you feeling any different about the hair cut? Is it sitting slightly better with you than it was a week ago? Have you gone out of the house with it? M. |
hair
it's ugly and/or uncomfortable no matter what.
oh yes i've been out again - and duly embarrassed, as with the dentist. fixing it requires monopolizing the bathroom for several hours which isn't often possible. ~ waves ~ |
have you ever tried a french braid? I learned how to do this to myself and I wore my hair like that for a long time...it would be pretty with your thick hair.
I am sorry you are still unhappy with it. ((((HUGS)))) bizi |
