I give my vote to "increase it to 75 now" and see how you feel... :o

Day 1 at 75mg Zoloft
Thanks guys! :)
Today took 75mg Zoloft at 12.30pm. i took it late yesterday due to a series of events that made me unable to eat at 6 am. i decided not to shift back to the earlier time today, because of the dose increase, and also because tomorrow i can't take it anyway until after i see my labs. i was confused thinking i would be getting labs and seeing pdoc on wednesday. but it is tomorrow. so that's good. if the labs are good, i will take 75mg again, and in the afternoon will talk to pdoc about going up to 100mg provided there isn't excessive agitation. i don't figure he'll have any issue with at least 75, more than likely he'd be ok with or even suggest increasing to 100 directly, as he tends to be heavier-handed than i do, dosage-wise. but regardless what i figure, he should have the opportunity to comment on everything and veto anything. ~ waves ~ |
pdoc approved 75 mg Zoloft
pdoc called me to move our appointment to thursday. since i wouldn't be seeing him tomorrow any more, i told him i increased the Zoloft to 75mg today and asked if it was ok for to continue at 75mg provided my labs were good tomorrow. he said definitely. i mentioned i was thinking in terms of 100mg but that we could talk about it thursday as i wanted to have at least a few days at 75mg first. he agreed it was better to go slowly.... kinda surprised me... maybe he is just acknowledging my need for caution, or maybe he is being more cautious than usual because i am not on a mood stabilizer (and he knows i'd rather not have to take one).
then he called right back and said he had messed up thursday and could see me tomorrow at a different time. ooookkkk.... but it's just as well i got to talk to him. i hadn't wanted to be sneaky, but i also hadn't wanted to disturb him just for this... his call fixed both concerns. i am hating myself as it is, i don't need additional reasons to feel bad/guilty/stupid/inconsiderate etc...... ~ waves ~ |

I've also tried to read, but my focus is poor, but I'll get hooked and end up reading all night. I wish you the best of luck with your appt tomorrow, your labs, and med changes. |
oh I was sad to hear you say that waves.

Waves,
I forgot that the pdoc ordered the labs for you. That's the "both" that you refer to -- you will discuss Zoloft and the labs with him. I'm glad that the 75 mg is going well. M. |
So, how are you feeling waves ??
No weird symptoms ?? Are you feeling the zoloft effect already or.... ?? Let us know how our appointment went. |
Hi everyone
won't be able to notice the 75mg increase for at least a couple days here. yesterday was just the first dose - i haven't taken it yet today. i have been taking it later and today i had to get my labs first anyway. labs: my blood count is good, but i am deficient in folic acid. i will have to pick up a more comprehensive B multivit. i thought mine had them all in there - either they changed the formula at some point, or i was confused because i used to alternate between different supplements. ~ waves ~ |
I wish you were feeling better.

I have to supplement B12 (the methyl, not cyano variety) and vitamin D3.
I order online, and use Jarrow products exclusively. They're available at many online stores, but I haven't been able to find a local place that carries their products. I probably should be supplementing folic acid and calcium, though no doc has suggested that yet. -Kay |
