Thanks for your support!

The NP put me on 500mg 3xday based on how my tonsils looked. She swabbed my throat for strep and did a few other tests. I wasn't concerned about the cold & she wasn't either....

I should have been concerned. I'm so congested and very wheezy. I'm using my albuterol a lot. I feel so out of it. Even though I'm taking tylenol, I'm still having 100F fevers after taking it. I haven't been this sick in a while :(

Going to the drug store later for a new OTC medicine....

((( Kay )))

sending you lots of healing wishes :circlelove:

Albuterol? do you have asthma too? gosh it must triple suck to have a cold with asthma. :(

500mg TID of ???

an antibiotic? erythromycin or similar? if that's what it is it's a pretty hefty dose... should have you feeling better very soon though.

Thanks for the well wishes and hugs guys! :grouphug:

The cough is BAD. Yes, this cold has made the asthma worse- hasn't been this bad in years. Glad I'm on an antibiotic. I hope it's one that's good for URIs. I'm used to elevated temps by now, but they usually respond to tylenol. No temp today thus far.

She gave me 500mg of amoxicillin 3 times a day. It does seem like a hefty dose. No test results yet.

I roasted a big chicken on Saturday and made soup. It was my best yet! But it hasn't lived up to its reputation...

I've never had pneumonia before, but I guess there's a 1st time for everything.

100mg doxycycline twice a day. They got rid of the amoxicillin. The Mucinex DM doesn't do a very good job at quieting my cough.

I actually pass out pretty quickly. My husband says I'm coughing and snoring a lot at night, but I don't know it.

I'm okay. I'll get better.

Thank you for the well wishes,
Kay
