My Savannah is now at Rainbow Bridge meeting up with my Koko and Lupo.

The Vet came today to give shots, and she almost attacked him, I couldn't even control her. She had a vicious streak, that I tried to break in every way I could for a long time. I loved her very much and will miss her dearly, especially at night when she used to snuggle with me. Maybe my GS dog will get in bed with me now, my GS/Greyhound sleeps in the bed every night at my head.

She got out once and almost attacked the Dog officer. The Vet said I did the right thing, she was only a little over 2yrs. But, God forbid she ever got out and hurt a child. I couldn't really have people over my house they were all afraid of her too.

At least she was at home when he put her down, first he sedated her and that was difficult, we had to muzzle her and she was fighting us. She was a fighter and took over the other dogs with toys and things.

Then she fell into a dazed sleep, and then the final needle. The Vet took her to be cremated, although I won't get the ashes, I can't afford it at this time in my life. That's okay, she is at peace and with my other dogs, it was hard because she was young, my other dogs were over 12 yrs old.

I lost a friend this week too, only in his 30's, 2 kids, so sad.

Wow, things have GOT to get better.......................I can't take anymore.

Thanks waves, I just cannot take anymore of anything, I am way too overwhelmed, depressed, sick, etc.

I'm giving up slowly but surely.

OUr pets are our family memebers and this is very hard to accept. It is very hard to make that decision...and you know that you had to make that decision..
I am sorry that you are hurting and know that you took great care of all of your pets and sometimes thru no fault of our own...it doesn't work out.
It is best to try to simplify your life right now especially since you are feeling over whelmed.

Thank you everyone. It was a decision long coming with Savannah. Meds didn't work. She was a good dog, but took over the other dogs as far as toys and start fights, and would growl and bite, even me.

The time she got out and of course the dog officer just happened to be in the complex, she got written up, and quanrianted to the house, which she usually was in anyway with our fenced back yard.

I could of been fined. I couldn't control her growling and always ready to attack and bite. The other dogs were even afraid of her.

It was so hard, but the Vet is soooooooooooooooooooo good. He knows how I am with my pets. So, I couldn't take the chance of her hurting anyone else, especially a child if they were outside and she got out, because you couldn't pet her ( I mean a stranger) she would of killed a child or person, and she was little. I couldn't have that on my conscience.

I miss her, my other dogs didn't eat last night, but they seem fine. My GS did get in bed last night along with my GS/Greyhound, he never would before, well a few times, but Savannah was very aggressive about everything.

I cancelled my mri and cat scan until Tuesday, they understood, I was just too upset to go. I woke up a lot last night.

I am just a mess, but that's my life lately. Talk soon, it's only 6am here, and I woke up early, usually Savannah is the first up, but today my GS had to pee, so he woke up first. They are both laying with me in the computer room now.

I'm so sorry for your pain. It sounds like you did what you needed to do. I'm just so sorry.

I had a jet black cocker spaniel...registered and of good bloodlines. The vet suggested the same thing as he was literally even biting the hand that fed it. It's a hard decision, I know. He "turned" (as the vet called it) at just under two years old. I had small children and children always here.

I hoping you have the best day that you can today. You're in my thoughts.

I too said good bye to my beloved cat of 18 years on Tuesday and now I am waiting for her ashes, I feel so bad for you, the guilt and the sorrow are almost unbearable for a while but as in the past when I have had to have it done time helps although I still cry for them. May peace be with you soon.

I'm so sorry. I know how much it hurts to lose a furbaby.

It's hard when they pass one at time due to old age. But, so many in a short period of time...

Honey, you've had a lot of losses recently. If you're anything at all like I am, losses of any kind hit really hard.

Pay real close attention over the next few days. There'll be some small living being hanging around you and acting very differently. That'll be Savannah's energy in another form letting you know that she's arrived safely.

I believe that everything that we love and that loves us doesn't really disappear -- they're just in another realm that we can only communicate with when we're balanced and calm. They're always there watching over us.

I know it's hard to think of putting an animal down as being the 'right thing'. Most times, though, you know in your heart that it was best for the animal. If they were suffering mentally or physically, we really wouldn't want to make them stay here and suffer.

You were blessed to have Savannah in your life for the time that you two had together. And she was blessed because you were there for her when she needed you.

Now's the time to move yourself back to the top of the list and CELEBRATE LIFE with the animals that are still in your care.

Thanks....everyone.....I remember that website.

I can't seem to get to it now. I tried copy and paste too.

I remember Koko and the rainbow in my bedroom, and when I am at the pool, a butterfly will always come fly around me. I know that is Koko.

I will try again to get to that website, I want to save it.

I am trying so hard, but so many loss's and stress are doing me in, I mean how much can one person take.

As my grandmother from Sweden use to say "God only gives it to those who can handle it" Well, God I'm on overload right now, please help me.
