these are similar looking to the kinds of cookies we get in october-november... for the Day of the Dead (today, Nov 2, All Souls Day). they call them the Bones of the Dead. i've had variations with/without -- almonds -- pine nuts -- raisins all seem to have cinnamon and be liberally dusted with powdered sugar (perhaps to make them white, like bones? :D) we don't have any right now... i wonder if mom will bring some home..... ~ waves ~ |
