Dear Donna

i am glad things are going well for you all - or at least sounds like they are.

congratulations - and thank you - for the wonderful job you do with the school, helping parents and students in difficulty.

i agree with Kay... hard not to get emotionally too involved, but on the flipside, getting emotionally somewhat involved is probably what makes you so good at it. the fact that you genuinely care about each and every person that you help.

i always get a chuckle when you talk about "my parents." you'll say something like "three of my parents are..." now, i normally use the term "my parents" to mean "my mom & dad" ... and although i know what you mean, every now and then my brain still does a split-second what-the-heck? before catching up to OH, right, school parents that she works with.

but i think that's cute, and telling... that you make them your own. you don't say the parents i deal with or, my assigned parents, or my clients, or any of many expressions that would identify the relationship as professional, yet also imply greater distance. the way you say it, you express how close you are to them. i love that. and i love hearing about "your parents."

speaking of parental parents though... how is mom-in-law doing? is she staying with you right now?

Kay
I knew exactly what you meant. And you were right on. There are times
that getting emotional is the downfall.

My mother-in-law at present is still in the nursing home. I don't think
they know what she is going to do. I'm hoping that at this time they
leave her their through christmas either way.

We are talking about looking at a house. That would fit the needs well.
Now just to get my husband to do it.

But she seems fine.

So many things going on around here. Just no time to list them it seems.

Derrick bowled yesterday, then he went to the movies with this girlfriend.

We also went out to eat at pizza hut first.

I am trying to rest today. Seems I need to go grocery shopping too.

So I probably will later.
