It's 20 degrees now.(1:20AM)(12/16) It's suppose to start snowing around sunrise. We could get 4 to 6 inches in my area. The weather people say it might snow on Saturday also,or it could go out to sea. They're not sure. We will see. BF

Really really cold for that far south BF!
We expect it in the mountains, but gee that is crazy....I can't believe there are surfers in Miami either......
I bet we start feeling the $ with the fruit crops. Poor farmers.
Been running the humidifier too with the dry air from heater running so much.

Hi everyone

Not sure how cold it got again yesterday. It was 5 in the morning, but
that didn't figure in the wind chill factor. It was even colder feeling last
night.

But it snowed through the night. And the kids had a 2 hour delay today.

Isn't that the truth. It's 23 degrees right now.(11:39 PM) We only had about 2 1/2 inches of powdered snow today. They where calling for more snow then that. We never know. BF

Hello Di,and Mari
I was at Wal-Mart the other day shoping, and many of the things that I touched gave me a static discharge. That's a sign of dry air. Humidifiers are good for that type of thing, sinuses, and skin.

I use to buy humidifiers, but they get clogged with hard water in this state, and the are hard to clean. Very hard. My brother in law taught me a better way.

My brother in Law has a big pot of water simmering on one of his stoves. That's what I need to do right now. A big pot is much easier to clean, and they last a lot longer.

I'm going in the kitchen, and fill a pot with hot water, and let it simmer. You don't want the inside atmosphere to get to damp, and you can work on the amount of simmering that suits your environments.

This is just something that I've learned, and thought that I would pass it on.

By the way. It's 1:54 AM,(12/18)and 23 degrees. BF

now. Its to get cold again in a day or two and snow. UGH.

Red face

we are headed north tuesday, stop in memphis before our destination. It is about a 16 hour drive to Indy from here.
I bought new boots and wool socks and gloves.
I am very chilly by nature but have really been cold since this weight loss.
Am not looking forward to snow and colder temps...yes I know that I am a whimp...
I don't know how you poor people get thru the winter.
burrr!!!!!
