Aw waves

Really hope you can start feeling better soon !!!

Uff, nice drugs convo ! Arent you feeling totally "drugged" ?? Im very sensitive to meds and I always loose my mind !

Drink lots of water (even when I know you might feel like that's the last thing you want ! that happens to me when Im sick.... no water thanks !). IF you can, add lemon and sugar to your water.... It will help your body A LOT !

Also red fruits !! eat plenty ! those help too ! if it is a bacteria, a virus, mold of a nasty combination, red fruits are the best !

Take care my sweet friend !!!

One family member who had a bipolar/schizophrenia-spectrum illness also had inflammatory problems and low immune function. Still has the low immune function. Not sure why. We wonder if some autoimmune process. Have you had blood chemistry done while well? Also nutritional status checked? Apparently some with depression and bipolar also have genetics affecting some B vitamin utilization (such as methylation) hence the prescription B vitamins now being sold via prescription for mental illnesses (and other disorders - see Deplin and Metanx).

Red face

oh so many thoughtful thoughts here, thank you all so much (((EVERYONE)))

i have replies and or questions for each of you....

computer ate my post about an hour ago... with my help, key command for back (which was a login which redirected to a fresh blank post AGGGGGHHHHHHH!!! i lost it and got stuff ready for bed.) i am attempting work tomorrow at leat that is the current idea.

let me see if i can knock of just a couple of points...

Mari - do not be concerned... following your post i looked up tracheitis myself it - i do not have many of those sx - perhaps it is a broader term... the concern with pneumonia was probably due to length of time ill.

Steve changing doctors is not possible right now and there aren't a lot of choices, plus small town, ppl talk. besides the level of care here is what it is. hard to find exceptions.

Bizi, you know the nebulizer is a machine? it is like a reverse vacuum cleaner w/a bunch of plastic "attachments" to sterilize before AND after (grrrrrr).... sigh. also dosehe said - ONCE a day sitting and specified amounts to use in that sitting.

albuterol is short acting also, the insert says 3-4x day for my dose but then, that labeling is for asthma... i don't think he is going on an asthma dx or any specific dx, just trying to treat the broncospasm. he won't unless the visit to the pulmonary doc comes up with something new. my recent tests were clean.

Jaspar, hi and welcome! wow so very interesting comments and i will need to come back to add/ask more but for now.... yes no yes no no yes and maybe.....
- i am low in folic acid but was told it could be my "natural" level
- am taking supps now - full B complex balanced in relation to each other
- i sometimes take other stuff (incl zinc now that started back on depakote.)

- pdoc requested tests for inflammatory processes a couple years ago results excellent (very low). more laterrrrr..........(tomorrow?)

Majo why are red fruits the best, is it the antocyans? i barely touch fruit but i drink lots of warm herbal infusions, especially red ones based on rosehip and hibiscus. does that "count?"

~ waves ~ gonna try sleep, then gonna try work? not confident. was brainmush today.

I hope you feel better soon Waves

I have issues with albuterol (I have asthma)... and can only take 1 puff or I get super antsy and like a bobble head doll.

Maybe your previous bout never really cleared up? It sounds like you're on the right stuff right now to snuff this thing out.

Hi my dear waves.... Hope you are resting enough (as much as you can too) as that helps A LOT too. The poor immune system helps us ALL day EVERY day against plenty things, so, if we stay in bed, and dont stress much, and dont excersice etc, it can focus in exterminating the "un-invited" you know

Now, I will ask my question:

Red fruits have a great convo of vitamins (enzymes), anti-oxidants and minerals, so, they help us eliminating un-invited living germs... The immune systmen uses (among some other methods) enzymes to degrade germs... so, we can always help it taking/drinking MORE enzymes you know Anti-oxidants eliminate germs too as they literally detect them and make them explode Amazing right ? It's true !
Now, about hot infusions... well, enzymes are very annoying... you are not supposed to heat them or shake them vigorously... SO ! Your hot infusions probably loose around 80% properties... I mean, better than nothing, and if you are drinking a hot tea/infusion it is better if it is from a red fruit...
I HATE fruits too, but do a sacrifice and eat some while you are sick at least... They have great red fruits where you live ! oh... eat them raw, because even a juice loose properties as you "shake" the fruits... I know... fruits are annoying and enzymes are ANNOYING...
So, in resume, red fruits are GREAT for immune system, weather it is an allergy or a germ... (or both)

Get well soon ! and hope the above thing didnt sound too crazy....

Much love for you,
Majo.

Dear Majo,

Are you suggesting that raw fruits and veggies are better than cooked?
