At the health food store where I had the smothered cabbage, they make it healthier than how it is normally produced around here. Usually there is some sort of bacon or sausage added to the cabbage and then it is "cooked down" for a long time. mine had been cooked with chicken stock and some onions. very tastey!
I did not follow my skin care diet completely today.
We had a gift card for a restaurant in another town from us.
The old steamboat warehouse in Washington LA.
The voucher that I purchased for half off expires this week so we wanted to use it so we went there today for lunch.
I ordered something I never had before.
Shark...I think it was good...unfortunately over cooked.
It was covered with a crab florentine cream sauce, roasted asparagus, honey glazed carrots.
cream=dairy
sauce = grain, flour or cornstarch
honey=sugar
the crab was delicious! and so was the sauce!!!
There was probably not that mush of any of those items...at least that is what I am telling myself.
snacked on some almond butter, yum!
dinner tonight will be pork chops and zuchinni and yellow squash with red peppers.
I am still drinking my skin tea and red rooibos tea which I love!!!
I have been fairly good at leaving my face alone....my forehead has many red bumps, clogged pores, just a few white heads here and there, my neck is blotchy but clearing up but my nose...sigh

It has been 4 weeks since I started my acne challenge...no products

Things that I am doing that have been reccomended:
40mg zinc with 4mg of copper(2 weeks i think)
skin detox tea twice a day (5 days)
red tea with rooibos twice a day(2 weeks)
paleo diet (4 days)

skin is not great.
lots of clogged pores, several white heads, blotchy neck where things are healing. multiple areas of new bumpyness and red marks where there is healing.
I see a dermatologist on the 22nd.
I wish my face would adjust!!!!!
none of the women in my family use any products on their faces...why can't I?
It is frustrating to me, how long am I going to do this???

I can't use just anything either. My face will just start to reject something after x,y,z amount of time.
So far, the unscented soap and the new mild moisturizer is working for me. I'm also exfoliating once a week.

"Smothered cabbage" is what I would call braised cabbage. Brussel sprouts are excellent done the same way. Usually done in the oven with a small amount of stock (with onions and bacon, of course!).

Your diet seems pretty healthy to me. Are you drinking a lot of water?

The 22nd is quickly approaching. I think the appt. will help.

what did you think of the rosewater suggestion? it sounds like your skin is irritating... it is supposed to be soothing... it has emollient properties, very gentle. the one we get is by a brand called Roberts...

Hi Bizi, Have you heard of ultra light therapy.? Dermatologists use this form of light therapy for your condition, and for things like I have Alopecia Universalis. Sometomes there is wonderful results; it is certain uv light they give you in a box like structure. There is a med. called 8-mop that they sometimes use in conjuction with this kind of therapy. This was called in my records Photo Chemotherapy. I do not know if this is a good thing for you or not, but it is something that I have heard of as I was involved with this type of therapy for ten years, and met a few people along the way. This was at the University med. center in Comumbia Missouri, a teaching institution as well. I thought it might be worth asking your dr. about. have a great happy heart day, ginnie

I keep thinking that there is something wrong internally that I am not addressing.
Why would my neck break out when it has not broken out like this before?
I am drinking lots of fluids, herbal teas, water, I feel bloated on some days because I have drank so much.
Maybe this is purging and this is what the detox tea is supposed to be doing?

I spoke with a girl friend about her face...she used to use antibiotic medication in a roll on applicator then she ran out and now only uses neutrogena liquid soap. And her face is clear.

Oh Bizi, I made a big boo boo....

I didn't like the look of my under eye bags, and decided I'd use my old eye cream. Then I decided to use the "matching" moisturizer... I guess it's SPF30...
It was only on for a couple of hours, but I have big red pimples on my face and neck.
And, of course, I can't leave them alone.
This will be a big set back for me because these suckers don't look like they're going away anytime soon!

There maybe something internal causing your recent skin changes, but maybe not. Sometimes skin reactions to natural and/or recommended treatments happen because of certain skin conditions.
The 22nd will be here before you know it
