Trig The"Moving on"people freaked me out again.

The moving on people sent me a report on the repeal of the health care bill, and mentioned something about Social Security that freaked me out. This was about 9 hours ago,and I haven't been able to get it out of my mind, and have been obsessed about it.

If the government somehow cuts social security,I don't know what will happen. I'm not thinking straight. I've thought about my worse fears, suicide, and allot of things that I can't seem to handle. I went from calm,to afflicted with agony very quickley. I must have had a severe,or a serious panic attack. Please don't judge me. I've had these panic obsessions most of my life.

I would greatly feel like a victim of circumstances. There's nothing that I can do about it.

I signed the petition on their email information report. BF

Dear Steve,

I am a member of moveon.org but I stopped reading their stuff. Their mail goes straight to junk mail so that I don't have to read it.

Can you change their email so that you can block them?

Folks in the House of Reps are not discussing cutting money to people who are already on social security. They are discussing current workers paying more into the system -- things like that.

Social security is a popular program. Most people in the US support it. Congress might tinker with it for THE FUTURE (not now). The folks in Congress want to keep their jobs. Try to think of other things -- things that keep you calm.

Relax.
Ignore moveon.org.

M.

Default Thank you for the information Mari.

Thank you for responding to my post. You have made me feel better. Thank you for comforting me. I felt shattered last night emotionally. I've heard so much bad news, and for some reason it seems to be getting to me resently.

I couldn't get it out of my mind. I don't know why this happens. My ability to reason in these panic episodes about certain things becomes blurred.

Last year this type of thing happened, and I had to go to a wellness program for a couple of weeks because the intensity of these feelings became alarming. Thank you. BF

Steve

Please put this group on Block. THis is not something you need
to have to handle.

I have been keeping up on SSI, SSDI because I have lots of members
of my family that would be effected.

So I believe Mari is right.

Thank you Dmom3005 I got another email from "Moving On" tonight, and I deleted it. I didn't read a word of it.

We are living in complicated times. If the Gov.dropped peoples social security, and disability, what are we going to do? They have already dropped major funding for Social Services in this state. Where could we go? What could we do? There wouldn't be anything that I could do.

This bothers my greatly. I don't like to be so dependent, but I have no choice. I'm so tired of worrying, and so tired of my illness. BF

Dear Steve,

what you did tonight was very good. just delete the email.

i agree with the others if you can find a way to block it it would be best.

most email providers/programs have a way of blocking addresses.

there is just too much out there that seems not geared towards enlightening and informing, but scaring people into making certain choices or adhering to groups. it is like bullying. they are big email bullies.

i am so sorry you had to dlal with this

Default Thank you Waves.

They do want contributions, and I'm not sure what their motives are anymore.

I have been buffeted with bad news from all directions, but that email from "Moving on" really got me yesterday. I feel better today.

Thank you for you kindness. BF

Heart

I think a lot of organizations make shock and awe statements to get our contributions. The samething happens to me when I see the pets that need help. There was one with injured animals and I got physically ill changing the channel but the images would stay with me.

Then I noticed recently their tatics changed to cute little animals you would want to adopt.

As soon as I heard the first tones of the song, both younger dd from the other room would whine and I would already have the station changed....
It is the tearing on our heart strings and really not fair.

Our SSDI is fine, I worry for my children, but hope that I can help prepare them at least with paid housing as not to be homeless. Other then that, I pray for economic stability.

I agree just send to the spam...I maybe would consider sending a last note if physically up to it as to why I would want my mail unscribed from their list.
Na....just hit unsubscribe.
hugs
di

Default Hi Di

They put the most precious, and darling Dogs, and Cats on those SPCA commercials. It's painful to see the animals in poor condition.

I'm thinking about unsubscribing from those"Moving on"people. I'm glad that they exist, but I cannot handle the messages about SS,SSD,or SSDI being threatened.

Dear Steve,

No one here will judge you!

Please try to avoid things that are your triggers, like many others here have advised you to do. "spam" them!

The economy is not stable right now, and there is a lot of talk being thrown around about many things.
A lot of it does bother me, but I try to focus on my life today. Most of it is just talk and will never amount to anything.

I'm also on SSDI and Medicare. Making major changes to those programs will be like moving a mountain, especially in this political climate. Any changes will not be anywhere in the foreseable future.

Take care my friend, and try to avoid all those triggers so you can stay as healthy as possible.

Di,
I have seen the ASPCA commercials. They make me cry. I have to change the channel or leave the room. I do adopt believe in pet adoption, but can't contribute to any causes, as we are struggling ourselves.
