Default Bad depression

Hi everyone. I am just going through some bad depression. Not over anything really. I think what started it is having bronchitis...and so does my son. I fell down the stairs yesterday and that made my back hurt pretty badly For those who don't know, I had back surgery on Jan 19th. I think I am justfeeling sory for myself. All I did all day was sleep ad my husband did everything..took care of the kids...everything.
I am feeling major guilt over not doing something today, I am so sad that my kids and husband have me in their life.
i hopei will go back to normal soon.
thank you for listening.

Dear Cblue,
We are listening.

I hope that recovery from the fall and the bronchitis will help with mood. Please don't feel guilty for not being able to do much when you are sick and depressed.
Reach out for help. Maybe you can even stop by and talk to keep in touch with neighbor or call someone you haven't spoken to for a while.

I hope that you have a pdoc and a tdoc to help you through this.

Dear Cblue,

It sounds like you're going though a considerable depressive episode IMHO. At risk of sounding like an echo, you need to see your pdoc and/or tdoc soon.

Quote:

You are a wife and mother and very important to your family. Please don't be sad that your are in their lives... Have you been having s/s thoughts?

I can understand those feelings of guilt. Some days I can't get anything done. My husband understands, and I'm sure your husband and kids do too.
I'm very sorry that you hurt your back- it is a a valid reason for taking it easy though. If it doesn't start feeling better soon, you should see a doctor because your surgery was fairly recent.

Cblue

We're here and we're listening.

Guilt, guilt, guilt... That silly, *bad word* feeling that torture us...

One day I read something beautiful about guilt not being a real feeling, just something we create in our minds... true. Anyway, that's not relevant now...

No way to feel guilty hun, you NEEDED indeed to rest !!! you are sick, you fell... No guilty. No way.

Are you feeling better ? what are you taking for the bronchitis ?? I know when I get the flu, big depression attack me... one of the reasons is, I dont sleep properly due to the illness itself, but also, some meds/antibiotics cause depression... specially if we have tendency LAst time I took "Tavanic" and oh boy did I felt depressed....

Hope things improve Blue ! from Blue with love... oh man ! LOL

((( CBLue )))

at some point, remember you will CRose again.

When it seems useless to go on, remind yourself that these feelings, including the guilt about them, is finite. it helps me to muddle through to remind myself. when things get rough, i have to remind myself a lot and have others remind me. i hope it helps you.

please talk to us, even if briefly.... you can vent or ramble or relate an incident or your day. but there doesn't need to be a daily scoop or anything... just to keep in touch.

and do to have some contact with 3d people as well. maybe you can plan lunch or a movie with someone at least a couple times a week. movies are passive and if you aren't with it you don't even need to pay too much attention but just to get you up and about once in a while, i think it helps.

i am glad your husband is being helpful also. (((hugs))) and i hope you feel better.

Hi everyone. I called both my pdocs and made appointments.
I was so sick that I was halucinating and I have no idea what happened from the time I wrote that post until yesterday am. Whole block of time wiped out. I had very high fevers. My husband got scared and called my mom and she came and got me. I am very very lucky, I have an excellent support system..sometimes I just don't know it. Now that I am thinking of it, I don't know why i didn't go to the hosp, but i guess it couldnt have been so bad, i just cant remember it.
Thank you guys so much for your support. I love being a mom and wouldn't trade it. I would never want my kids to have another mom..no one can lovethem like I can.
On that note...I must helpmy wee baby boy because he needs his"bwankie" because he is "fweezin" !!!
Thank you so much everyone! You make me feek better!!!!!!!!!!!!
