... perpetually playing catch-up here... glad your mom got through the procedure ok and i hope she continues to get stronger. i see the restlessness as a positive sign... feistiness and wanting to get better. (the opposite would be apathy which gets you nowhere.) and it sounds like she is receiving good care. you are a good daughter and a good mom. i hope Derrick doesn't have strep. yuck. know that you are in my thoughts even though my posting has been terribly sporadic lately.  ~ waves ~ |

Thanks to all.
I spent the weekend in Kokomo visiting my mom. In the rehab center. I spent about 2 to 4 hours each day with her. But today with all that kept coming to visit. And the fact she kept going to sleep I was there about 1 1/2 hours. Then came home. Donna

Hi! I hope your mom is doing really well. My mom had both knees done and it is thebest thing she ever did...she is 71 and can do what she has never been able to do with her grandkids...get on the floor and play with them. It took somewhere in the area of a year or so to heal completey and to get used to the new material in the knees, but she is really hapy she did it. I wish we could convince my mother in law to get it done....she is a mess.

Yes my mother is planning to get the other knee done after this one
has had sometime to heal. She really needs them both bad. So it should be a lot better when she is done. Donna
