Arrow The Other Side of The Moves

Ok. I'm here. did some fishing out of suitcases already. lots sitting there, but i need physical recoup first.

Mari?

Hope everything is "moving along" lol. I hope you can get some sleep, sometime, between one thing and another. I can imagine you must be so exhausted (I was).

Give us a holler when you get there, y'hear?

Smile hi everyone

and thanks Bizi - i surely am!

just wanted to check in real quick. things here are good. the first 24 hours held, anyway, lol. i even unpacked some stuff inside the apt because it got "in my eyes" after staying in my refreshingly empty apartment for so long.

been thinking of all you guys and hope everyone is well... take care of yourselves.

~ waves ~ resting all the sore spots now, and sleeping as needed.

Hi Friends,
We survived the move itself
Now hubby has been making trips to the old apt to get the stuff he did not pack. Three car trips (4 miles one way )so far and more to go.

We might not get that place cleaned properly. But I was in there for 13 years and we have dry rot all the kitchen cabinets, water (from a/c, leaking kitchen sink on and off over the years, hot water heater, bathroom, upstairs apt) in the bathroom, on wall one bed room, on carpet in said bedroom, under the kitchen sink, ...) And yes, I did call each we saw water to get them to fix it.

We have new management there. I wonder if I was supposed to pay the last month's rent. I did. But maybe I should go back and check to see if they owe me money.

I think I moved in part because I can't stand the people in the office. Really and really can't deal with them.

Default Off of sorts

I'm out of sorts because I can't find anything in the new apt.

I couldn't find the iron last night to prepare something to wear for work tonight.
I sort of steamed a shirt for hubby and used the dryer to fluff up something for myself. I am buying an iron on the way home from work.

I can't find my check book. Yuck. It is very likely in a box that hubby put together. Yuck.

No computer at the apt yet. I have't plugged in the MAC -- too many boxes and craap everywhere. And I am no teckie. Calling the phone company for dial up service seems like a hassle.

I am borrowing the computer at my friend's house -- she passed away in June and her son has not moved in yet.

I went to the post office and turned in change of address for myself. Hubby and I have different last names so he has to turn in his own form.

Get this. The apt is NOISY in the day time. I might be forced to change my lifelong habits and sleep in the night time.

The first night I was asleep by 2:30. Last night 3:15. (For months I have been getting to sleep aroudn 6:00 am . THis is early for me!!!!)
Sunday morning was quiet But lots and lots of noise on Monday morning. OHHHHHHHHH.

Late for work.

Mari, you made it over the big hump of moving, yippee, I sure know the feeling. Now the rest will fall into place in time.

Waves - good for you too!!!!! You both need some down time and rest, so take that time too.

Hugs, Nikko

I hate it when I can't find things!!!!!!!
I am glad that you moved Mari...sounds like they really let your apartment slide....I bet your new one is nicer?
Waves I hope that you are resting tonight too!!!!
I started cleaning out the tons of paper work that I had laying around for years...about 3 years ago I was trying to get charts in order and created a mess then crashed and all of that paper work piled up and sat there in the corner of the guest bedroom collecting dust...now it is gone in the trash and I feel much better. It is cleansing to throw away things that I have been holding onto for so long....I really need to go thru old clothes....
going to try to get my business updated and more professional ...
creating charts again...but not manic like last time....
steady
steady steady......
