Unhappy

I am so sorry about Harriet... it really hurts when they leave us.

I just lost two very old feline friends!

But we now have a new one, Weezie to keep us hopping and boy does she EVER!

We have a nice cemetery under some trees in our back yard for the cats we've had during our 43yr marriage. In fact the white crocus in my siggie came up there with the other spring flowers that now cover that site!

My sincere condolences!

Bizi

I am so sorry! But I also know that Harriett is in kitty heaven.
Enjoying her favorite food. Frolicking in the grass and doing all
the things she hasn't felt like doing for a while.

Its really harder for us human.

Red face

thank you my friends.
our vet was so sweet yesterday, sedated her first so she would not struggle. then injected her she twitched a bit but then just simply stopped breathing and she was gone. OUr vet did not charge us to put her down and sent us flowers today! that was very sweet.
yesterday....after she was gone I carried her in my arms like a baby and proceeded to wash her feet off, there was dried blood that she would not let us wipe off.so I thought I would just wash them real good. I sniped some of her fur and put it in a gris gris bag that my friend made for me that sits right by the faucet on the counter in my bathroom. I also looked in her mouth and the tumor was the reason she was so swollen, sigh damn cancer.

I have had a sore throat for 4 days and feel like sinus pressure and stopped up nose, head ach, no fever so just resting today and drinking lots of tea.
took zyrtek, cold and sinus med and mobic pain pill...I was in bed until noon and fill achy all over. So I am hoping with all of that I feel better.
last night we went to the ULL light opera gilbert and sullivans the Mikado.
funny and a good distraction. Jeff is gone fishing with some friends he won't be back until monday...I don't do well alone....

Poor baby!

When I had to put Sheba down, (advanced kidney failure) we buried her in our "cat cemetery" spot...so I looked for another statue for the area. We have 2 other memorials there, but they are small.

I found this one finally...made of resin, and long lasting.
http://www.plowhearth.com/product.as...rackingCode=NA

If you are so inclined to have a monument: This one was the nicest I found, and affordable, after looking for 2 hrs online!

This is how it looks in our yard: this spring... when the ivy perks up (it looks heavily damaged from this severe winter ) it looks nicer there.
This angle shows the one of the other monuments and some of the crocus too.

This made me feel better, seeing things growing there!
Tippy could not be buried when she died on 1-3-11 suddenly of her stroke because the ground was frozen...so I have her ashes to put there when the ground is ready for them.

I am so sorry that Harriet had this terrible disease.
Watching them suffer, is very tough for me. Cats seem like children in some ways and that makes it harder to euthinase them, IMO. I have had to do this 5 times now, and it never gets any easier!
