Dear Waves,
I hope you get the rest you want. Maybe don't try to process what's on your mind. You can let things sit for awhile. Good luck with your appt. M |
in pain...
saw pdoc today. he helped me sort out some imminent concerns. other processing i can take more time with and/or defer, yes.
----- starting last night, the neck pain i started having my last night away worsened. it may have been a combo of luggage lugging and my head position craned to look out of my window at the gorgeous sea. See ~ waves ~ watch the sea waves ... reflections... for 1.5 hours. oh and those fluffy white clouds, some like cotton puff castles... tempting to climb out and sit on one but... ----- back to now. neck and back pain - seemed muscular at first, but evolved with with neuralgia extending down arm and up face, and all areas became painful to touch... suspect some degree of myofascial inflammation as well... awful trip to pdoc, with cotton shawls on all the painful areas, in spite of the heat. came back exhausted, dehydrated, and in PAIYYYYNNNNNN! being very very very still helps sorta... until i move a fraction of a millimeter. the double hit of muscle relaxer this morning helped but i forgot to take one before going out. so i ended up resorting to 600mg ibuprofen, on top of the missed myorelaxant dose, when i got home. that did help. i hope this just the combination of factors i mentioned at start of this post, and that it will resolve in a couple days. i can keep up this level of ibuprofen for max of 2 days. i also cannot be in this state when i go to work on monday. my seating position alone would set me reeling. SIGH... it seems to never end... first the mania escalating (pdoc confirmed today that his concern was my being snagged confined in some weird foreign hospital under goodness knows what hold conditions). first night away, i had to text pdoc because my meds totally screwed me up (no balance, semi-dizzy). he called me and we determined a reduction since the mania was gone-GONE! next day... yet another medical issue... never mind what, following which (unrelated!) i don't know if from heat and possible bp dips, i had multiple transient episodes of tachycardia, daily... and actually i think i had one today too but by the time i took my pulse it was normalizing..... AND NOW THIS!!!! OWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEE MOMMMMMEEEEEE!!!!! ARGGGGHHHH. :( ~ waves ~ p.s. we don't have a sea (AC;)) |
Waves,
I'm worried about you. i hope the pain stops. Your pdoc is good for you. I am always relieved about that. M. |
ouch...I am sorry that you are having this pain. yes I hope it will go away asap.
I went to a chiropractor when we were in indy last month...I "pulled a back muscle and popped my back....very painful but after a couple of treatments, and some rest the pain went away. What is up with the tachycardia????? please take care of yourself. ((((((HUGS)))))) bizi |
For the pain you can try Vitamin B my friend... It always help me with bad sore necks and pain of any kind...
If you already take vit B, take the double until you feel less pain... :o  |
waves, so sorry that, in addition to everything else, you are now in pain. It's great that you were able to communicate with your pdoc, even on your trip, and work out the meds over the phone, that's great!
I was driving home after visiting my husband this evening when I realized that my neck and base of my skull were really smarting...probably from anxiety and also driving alone to a new place twenty miles from home...Glad to be home now, getting ready for bed. Took my puppy Lilo out for a last 'poop' and the lightening and thunder were awful, and the w-i-n-d----YIKES. I was happy she selected a spot quickly, did her business and then practically beat me back to the house. I was scared, as my yard is chock full of trees  . https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-j...10.48.11-1.jpgLilo taking a snooze...zzzzzzzzz |
Welcome home Waves,
So glad the trip went well., and hope you can get the 12 hrs of sleep. The cervical strain problems are wreched. I use 3 Alieve for the inflamation, and try ice or heat on it. Right over the back of the shoulder to if it is tender, I use a tennis ball between me and the wall; deep pressing to try and relase some spasms. Going to work like that is going to be rough, find a good anti inflamatory for you and take it as you can to help. Feel better., di:grouphug: |
Thanks Di! (hiya!)

Hey, ~ waves ~ , well it's obvious to me you're allergic to your job & I prescribe your tripping over an abandoned ten million $ (after taxes) lottery ticket (or whatever equivalent your fantasy supports) supplemented by whatever hobby/volunteer activity in your life would be happy-making.
Oh, yes, that's my prescription :D:rolleyes: . C.G.. *. **. **a work still being worked on Quote:
