Dear Steve,
Camille was a powerful storm. I was a child. We lived in the path. I wish the weather folks would stop using people's names. =-=-=- I wish I felt comfortable telephoning my Godmother about the recent flooding in the Hudson River Valley. I'm not in the mood to talk on the phone. Maybe I will call this weekend anyway. M |

Thanks for the video Steve! I remember working as a Candy Striper (wait not a stripper right? or is it the other way around? lol)
But I was working in a Nursing home and so many residents were sure that the flights would affect the weather. They were terrified of what could happen to the atmosphere. (funny global warming is not blaimed for breaking through atmosphere) Waves, locals here are mentioning about the Earthquake and Irene in one week, then the rememnents of Lee the next weekend. Along with all the earthquakes in US that usually do not have movement. Relating to Fracking of gas from the earth in our area. Today is one the river is down and clean up begins. The city proper had minimal flooding protected by the dikes pushed beyond their limits. BUT it did make to flooding of surrounding, unprotected town experience heavier and wider spread dmg. So many roads and bridges are just torn, cracked and closed. Monday I will head up to some of the affected area, but fb friends have given me a heads up on the route that is safe. These are two links thanks for the idea BF, one is coverage of Agnus 92, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2B9MvX2ARc Yesterday someones entire deck going down the River. http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...99584563_n.jpg Homes outside of levee protection http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...81868220_n.jpg Areal veiw http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...54205985_n.jpg Poor woodchuck, he was rescued http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...99902826_n.jpg |

awww poor woodchuck!!!!
yeah, Di, be careful.
poor lil' woodchuck. that pic just ate me up. but then really he is a lucky woodchuck. i can't help thinking how many like him were not rescued. and that he probably lost his entire family as well as his home. :( we just think about the people, because we are people. but the animals are affected just as much. :( :grouphug: ~ waves ~ |

we seriously need to find other ways to live. ways that are in harmony with the earth. i read a book recently, that pointed out how often we talk about our seas, our forests, even our wildlife, our earth, even our universe, as though these things belong to us, whereas the converse is true:- it is we who, ~ waves ~ |
