The wedding was okay. I really am not sure what I was expecting so.

It was just not anything special to me. Just so glad it wasn't as windy
as the day before. They had 5 ft winds at this beach the day before.

We had a reception dinner. And then went back to the hotel. The food
was pretty good, I had a bad stomach, so didn't eat much.

No cake for me. But Derrick had some.

Later when I was saying I'd wished I'd thought to take apiece for later,
he mentioned it had strawberries in it. Ugh, no thanks.

What ever happened to just cake.

home is good

Dear Donna,

I'm glad that you are home safe.

I agree with you about the strawberries in cake. Those two should stay separate.

Glad you are home safe and sound, and still sounds like a nice Mom and son time.

((((( Welcome back, Donna! )))))

i've missed you.

sounds almost like the wedding was a bit blah for you. i too am curious as to how Derrick found it. I am glad you were not alone though.

and, at least, you did not have to keep house for a few days, right? ;)

and yet.... do i .... sense some sort of... ? relief? ... that it is behind you?

maybe i am projecting: when i have to put effort into a something with big hype, regardless how it turns out, but especially if it is only semi-kinda-okay, i am invariably relieved to be home. just wondering.

well, i am certainly glad you made it safe through the trip and happy to have you back here with us.:hug::hug:

Yep, to me it wasn't exactly a wedding. It wasn't what I'm used to.

And I didn't care much for the reception, I would have liked it much more,
if there had been the usual dancing, and things. I missed the dance with the bride and groom. And the Father and bride and things like that.

Also I just wasn't feeling as well so. And Derrick seemed to have a great
time. He got to spend some time with his cousins, and that was great.:grouphug:

Just realized when Kay was talking about balance issues.

I was so glad even more to have Derrick at the Wedding.

When standing in the receiving line in the sand.
When I almost fell, he grabbed me. Not that my brother-in-law
and a couple others didn't come to the rescue or try too.

But my son is always my first hero.

Now were do I nominate him for the hero award.
