I will see if they can do something, even a small drum might help him. I guess I could even send the paddle drums in that he got years ago, he's always liked them but never uses them. If they had mallets they or us for that matter could play on them. But the mallets were lost long ago.

In other nice happenings, our new treadmill came, and we are delighted kiddo LOVES IT! He goes for ten minute stretches at this point and acts like he could go longer. Twice since we've owned it. We got a great one too, it has a built in fan, a headphone Ipdod jack thing so you can plug in and listen to on speakers built in, a mp3 player! He loves this thing. I am so thrilled.

Now as for assembling the bloody thing, took 1 mg of ativan to stave off the impending panic attack I knew was coming and it worked well enough. My dinning room is where it's set up at, like to one side. It's such a great piece of equipment. I love it too, he's so happy. It's great we were able to get this for him to continue losing weight and working on staying in shape and developing his coordination.

I know what you mean about the panic of facing assembly...

I thought when I ordered a bookcase from the internet, putting it couldn't be too complicated. Right? Well, I ended up on the customer service line trying to get the shelves straight. I knew I was in trouble when the guy on the other end said, "Uh, have you got a hammer?"

But I'm glad he's loving the gym equipment. What a difference being in shape makes.

That's so true BlueCarGirl! I feel much better after using the total gym this morning and I know he's enjoying using the treadmill, it's a great piece of fitness equipment.

I already looked into getting replacement mallets and found a supplier, I just haven't done it yet. LOL! Too much other stuff going on. But I did find one dealer online, so maybe I will place an order this month. We'll have to see, if I send them in to school the odds are not good that he will use them and NOT bust them. That's the only drawback.

Just read the post and had to smile at the problems we face when assembling those things we order for the home or office. I get red faced, my heart beat goes up, and I feel like I will panic when ever I have to put some contraption together. Have you ever noticed how many steps there are to some of these things? Just reading the directions is crazy. I am glad you got the excersice machine up and going. sounds like a great thing you did for your family.
My latest challenge is to learn how to operate the Nook, one of those reading devises. I am learning how all the functions work. I had no idea there were so many. There is a book out on it called "the Nook" Good grief it is 88 pages of instructions! ginnie

88 pages of instructions??? *faints*

It was nice that the treadmill went together pretty easily. He's still using it for ten minutes a day! I am so pleased kiddo is using it this much. He'd go for longer if we'd let him. LOL! I bought him something today, I really wanted it for myself but they only had one in stock and it's NOT something they will get more of most likely. I got him a killer blue jean jacket last year and he loves it. We got one patch for him and I was surfing the other day, like well, more like two weeks ago, I finally broke down and purchased it today!

http://www.leninimports.com/def_lepp...kpatch_mbr.jpg

He's gonna LOVE it! Of course I really want one for me too, but sadly I don't have a blue jean jacket YET to put it on, so it's just as well I only was able to find this one. And if he ever gets tired of it I will buy him another band back patch and take the leppard one over! LOL!!! So I am feeling better.

Aww thanks bizi! I know he's going to warm up to them soon and I was so relieved to hear our neighbors do NOT hear him playing so that's good news. Bad news? Jack had a stomach bug this week and now Jackie's got it, I am fighting it but I think I have it too. Oh well, tis the season eh? Update on the back patch, I asked him and showing it to him (not in my hands yet, but the pic online) if he wanted that on his blue jean jacket and he said NO! LOL!!!! So it looks like I get it after all. LOL! I was like stunned, but quickly got over it. We'll get him some smaller patches of his favorite bands and put those on it and that should make him plenty happy. I think it's because it would be on the backside where he couldn't see it that was behind his not wanting it.

Oh well, he's home today with stomach bug symptoms, so hopefully it will clear his system as fast as it left Jack's. Which was only a few days. Sunday he came down with it, and by Weds he was feeling human again, but had a few rough days. Hope you're all doing well.
