Another shocking suicide was my other childhood friends niece. She stepped out on a railroad track in the New Jersey area last year, and the train was going about 130 miles an hour. What's going on!!! Why didn't she reach out to get help?

I guess I'm all depressed. I got to the bank, and went to the store today, and got what I needed to get.

I was singing yesterday in my den,and the cat came over, and licked me on the cheek, and then she went back to her little bed. I thought that was so cute.

I just don't feel like doing anything right now. I had pain much of last night due to this anxiety. I'm so tired. I don't have a passion for any of my hobbies,or anything else right now. Therapists sometimes say,"What do you have a passion for in life?" I feel sort of numb right now,and don't enjoy anything.

I'll get through this. I hope that I don't get into a obsession of intense anxiety, and fear. That's the worse. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Hey sweetie

those are really shocking pieces of news, and really violent deaths. it is impossible to wrap your brain around suicide especially if the person "seemed" ok. there are many reasons people don't reach out. for instance one might be afraid of not being taken seriously.

i am so sorry about all this. it is particularly hard with very young people. when i was in highschool, one of the guys in my class had to work on a roof over the weekend. he fell off onto some live powerlines and that was it. he was 14. i am still sad when i think of him, even though it was an accident. :( suicides are even harder, because we try to get into the person's head i think. and really we can't. we can only know their pain must have been unbearable in some way, grieve them and, like everyone else who leaves us, remember the good ways they touched our lives. http://www.thesmilies.com/smilies/nature/violet.gif

the lack of passion/interest for things that you would normally be drawn to, like your hobbies, is called anhedonia. This is often a symptom of depression. it is hard. it makes one feel empty. but do not worry. this should lift when the depression does.

your kitty was so cute to come and lick you on the cheek! :) it can be a sign of affection, or grooming, but either way it's nice. (ok, erhm, it's also possible you were simply salty.... cats like salt! :p)

good for you that you got your supplies! :) something you can relax about. now, just go easy on yourself and don't worry about reading other posts. let your kitty comfort you and try to nurture yourself as much as you can.

try this: wrap your arms around yourself and squeeze. imagine it is all of us here on the forum, giving you a group hug, ready? :grouphug: ... there! extras...:hug::hug::hug::hug: :)

we are here for you. post whenever you feel like it. i like the others hope you are able to rest, and sleep.

Hi broken Friend

I am just here to say, I hope you have a restful night with no bad dreams. I am sorry about the people you knew who committed the ultimate act. I know it is upsetting very much. Wish there was something I could say to ease your heart. Be at peace as much as you can. ginnie

Awww Thank you Waves. When I was in High School,a young football player who was in one of my classes died when he attempted to swim around this very dangerous dam. It was called Bosher's Dam,and it claimed many lives, but people still went swimming around,or over it. After that weekend,in a class that I shared with him had a empty chair where he used to be. He was friends with my best friend who also played football. This young man was a person who I looked up to. He was on the up,and up,and very friendly. The world looses something when people like him perish. Car crashes also killed some in high school. Very sad.

Thank you for the information on anhedonia. I'll google that to find out more information.

The Kitty likes to lick my arm,and she has "crazy bad breath". I usually slowly move my arm away. I don't want to scare her,or make her feel rejection.

I was glade that I finally pushed myself out of the door to get some shopping done. My sister had a calender for me,so I swung by,and picked it up on the way home.

I will put my arm around myself a squeeze, and think of you all. BF:hug::hug::hug:
