Exclamation please do not d/c antibiotic

Mari,

Amoxicillin : D/c ing an antibiotic before the end of the course is a bad idea. It can result in infection by resistant strains. D/c'ing is worse than not starting. No going back... please do not d/c the amoxicillin!

What you can do is take your vitamins with it, since you already have to take it with food. add a vitamin pill along with it. you are probably using more B vits with the antibiotic. Adding vits can improve your mood if at the moment you are getting too few.

-----------------------------

Ibuprofen : that much ibuprofen can easily cause fatigue... fatigue can feel like depression or can be depressing. has the pain lessened any? can you get away with just 2-400mg, or use acetaminophen instead?

Heart hey there...

(((( Dear Mari ))))

i think the depression could be due to the high dose ibuprofen, or it might not be med-related. i really don't think it is the antibiotic.

i might try stopping the ibuprofen - use a different painkiller if you need one at all. ibuprofen and other NSAIDs really knock some people out.

you know, this wave of depression that hit like that could be a reaction to the whole experience of the root canal. it was a trauma. you didn't have your benzo's and had to manage the best you could. this could be a latent reaction from having to hold on and hold out like that.

i am sorry you are not feeling good. i am sending you white light to heal you and help you feel brighter and stronger.

and lots of hugs with that.

Default Bizi and Waves,

I found some pretzels and a minute ago took today's third dose of the amoxicillin. I have not taken the vitamin. It feels too late to go to bed with that. My mind is not making any sense.
I do not know what to do about work Monday.

Dear Mari

Ok, so the ibuprofen is ruled out as a causative factor.

Sometimes dental procedures can really impact us. Being ok one time doesn't mean we will be ok the next. A root canal is an invasive procedure. In this particular case, your experience and entire day sounded awful. It doesn't surprise me that it should impact your whole body and mind rather badly.

As far as work, i vote for staying home tomorrow. Moreover, i might send an email now, so you won't need to worry about waking up to deal with it. Instead, you can sleep in.

Take the time you need to feel better. Nurture yourself. Have some warm tea. Stay warm/cool (as required). Stay in comfy clothes. Rest. Listen to peaceful sounds or do some chanting.
