My grandson's Kindergarten graduation was yesterday and I had a moving surprize. The kids had a wonderful selection of songs they did. One real cute one about Pizza Hut, Pizza Hut, Burger king, Burger king, McDonald's McDonalds....
I have to find it on the internet. I was in tears laughing by the time they got to Red Lobster, Red lobster...my dh workes overnight security there during upgrades.

But, they did a selection on patriotism, the song, Proud to be an AMerican, can't remember who sings it.
As the song played and remembered heros scrolled the screen of soldiers in a role call, the local veterans that served. Not sure if it is all locals or those related to the kids.
As the program had started I was sooooo wishing my Dad had been there and seen his great grandson, so hadsome and full of love.

THEN IT HAPPENED, this role call of soldiers, had my Dad's name grace the screen. I lost it, so full of emotion, proud of my Dad a purple heart recipient, and his heritage carrying on in my grandson.
So emotional for me,
I am glad that the kids are learnig to be proud Americans at their young age.
