Default I had it out with hubby. I snapped

Hi,

My boss gave me an unreasonable task tonight. I asked for Hubby's help. He said it was not something he could help me with ---- true or not, he still could have found a way to help me with moral support. I do that for him.

Then he started doing a small but super annoying thing even though I told him to stop. He did it several more times. I told him that we are through if he EVER does it again.

I asked him if he does it for a particular reason. He said, "It is a game.'
I said I have asked him 1000 times not to do that. He does it anyway. Today was the last time.

He is inconsiderate and selfish. I might as well deal with my boss who at least is nice in her self-ish ness.

Thank you, Bizi,

I raised my Gaabapentin dose a little tonight. I hope can work tomorrow without much fog.
Maybe the Gabapentin will help with anxiety and depression -- and my snappiness.

Default Oh Mari...

I am sorry he upset you. I sometimes think about what it would be like to have someone here with me rather than the way it is. And I think that having someone around even if they " play games" would be better. I am sorry your boss gave you the task too.

I hope you were able to get some sleep.

Dear Mari

I am really sorry to hear of all this going on. I hope the gabapentin was helpful and that you got through your work alright and got some sleep.

-------------------------
As for hubby. WOW. I'm sitting here trying to figure out if his "game" is all about him, his own little world (autistic-like)

OR

if it has to do with you... an instigatory thing....

the first would need to be dealt with of course - if he wants to play games by himself he needs to do so in a physical space where hs noises won't interfere with you.

the second idea is completely chilling. if that is the case he is a piece of work. i hope you can find ut what is oiiing on, and that he is nicer today. maybe it was just poor choice of wording and things can be worked out.

i send lots of love and many hugs with the hope things work out well.

Hi, Waves,

Yes. His behavior is as you describe here. I know very little about autism but he does seem to have some traits. Maybe I can convince him to buy an walkie -talkie like device to call me when I am in a different room and I am focused on work.

We have tried to work out issues of "space" but high pitched noises (almost bird-like) carry.

Sending you some hugs.

Some of the things you have said about him, have made me think
of asperger's. I can't explain why.

But its a form of autism.

Default tdoc

Hi,

My tdoc and my internist have told me he likely has OCD.

I think he has OCD Personality Disorder:

http://psychology.about.com/od/perso...essivecomp.htm

Individuals with obsessive-compulsive personality disorder typically experience:
  • A significant preoccupation with perfection, control, and order
  • Rigid behaviors, resistance to change, and inflexibility
  • Often described as dependable, rigid, stern, and stubborn
  • Feelings of helplessness in uncontrollable situations

This list describes him completely.
Tdoc has said that he provides structure for me.

Most of the time we can balance each other. Friday evening after a difficult work week when we are stressed we should stay away from each other in different rooms in order to avoid a blow out.

Hi, Donna,

That sounds about right. Do people with Asperger's syndrome suffer from anxiety? He has a high degree of anxiety.
