Default Majo

Hi, Majo,

A glitter lamp is so cool!

The light bulb is out on my lava lamp. I have to ask hubby to buy a new bulb somewhere.

Default Not rbetter, more explosive

I went on a hike in the woods in the rain with Trip. We then went to REI to buy a tent at their sale. We were the first ones in the door to avoid people. Wore a baseball hat to avoid eye contact. This lady pet Trip. I flipped right out. Is once again said "can't you read, can't you see his vest, what more do I need to do to keep people like you from invading my space" I couldn't stop myself. Then this nasty man said " what are you a trainer?" I said no, I am a Marine and what I am or my dog is none of your business. I then apologized to the tent man at REI. He was very nice to me.

I really want to stay home more than ever, who wouldn't?

I am going to see my old social worker today ( she switched hospitals). I am going to ask her about my explosiveness.

Someone suggested getting Trip a guide dog harness because he will look like a guide dog. I am not putting a bunch of extra junk on Trip because some of the public is so aloof.

I am sorry that you are having this problem with the public.

I wish I had a answer.

Hi,

I hope the social worker helps you.
Can you contact the group that worked with you and Trip in the beginning? They probably have some suggestions for you.

Let the pdoc prescribing for you know about the explosiveness.
Sometimes better meds and better sleep can help with that.

The public does not much about anything.
The only people who know about the dogs are people who train them or people like you who have one.

It is the same as the public (or even our own family members) understanding anything about mental illness or other hidden disabilities.

Question Mari, thanh you

Because I am worried about this social fear thing and other symptoms coming up, I made appts with both my psychiatrist and TBI MD. My psychiatrist says that I am on Meds to take care of my psychiatriatic issues and that the symptoms I am having are TBI related. My TBI doc says my issues were anxiety/depression and should be addressed by my psychiatrist.

I went to my brother in laws promotion with my parents yesterday and I was sweating and shaking, had to be by a door, so I could escape and evade if necessary. I think this is getting worse.

The only thing that I think has caused change is my doc took me off Lexipro.

I am on 100 mg Lamictal
1.5 Trazadone
2 buspar
2 depakote

Hi,

Ask the pdoc to put you back on the Lexepro ---- but I am not sure if it is good to be on Lexipro and Trazadone at the same time.

The buspar might not be doing the job you need. Ask the pdoc to look into alternatives. When I was researching it for myself two years I was disappointed.

Crazy meds us is one of my favorite sites for meds. It was created by person with mental illness.

Quote:
§7.  BuSpar (buspirone hydrochloride) Pros and Cons
§7.1  Pros
Few drug-drug interactions, weight neutral, and a generally low side effect profile.
§7.2  Cons
A lot of people conclude it doesn’t do ****.
§7.3  Interesting Stuff your Doctor Probably didn’t Tell You about BuSpar (buspirone hydrochloride)
Per the the PI sheet if you take BuSpar with aspirin you will get a 23% increase in BuSpar’s plasma levels. Now combine that with the increase you get with taking BuSpar on an empty stomach and you get a significant boost. Provided you don’t puke it all up.
§7.4  What BuSpar (buspirone hydrochloride) Is Best Known for
Being a total disappointment.

I completely understand that b.s. Regarding my sleep issue -- for most of my adult life the medical docs said it was an issue for therapy and the therapists said it was an issue for the medical doctor.

That was a tension filled event -- having to dress, having to deal with family, protocol, . . .
Pick carefully where and for what you are going to spend your emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical energy. If you do go to a big event like that, understand that you might pay the price for it and will have to spend a couple of days recovering and getting back to an equilibrium.

Things really do get better. You sort of teach your docs and other mental health team members how to care for you.

Default Thanks Mari, once again.

Went to TBI, he said TBI is an event, all the psychiatric things still need to be addressed. He suggested inpatient, maybe. Went to apply for social security and was told it will probably get denied and I will have to resubmit...naturally. Went to psychiatrist he said maybe inpatient but would like to avoid, me too and put me on Zoloft. We shall see. I am not going to nap today. I am going to iron my table linens and do some yoga. I ran this morning and that really helps. I am also going to do some praying.

Red face

this sounds frustrating.
I am sorry that you are still not stabilized on your meds.
I am hoping the zoloft will help.
celexa supposedly helps with depression and anxiety.

Dear Hilary,

I love that you are ironing and doing yoga. And running too! You are doing great things for yourself.
Soon I hope that the medical team catches up with you.
