Hi,

Most likely I do not have to go on that trip.--- the money in a fund for trips has dried up.
Work Buddy has funding for a second source and he might find out that he is going.

Hi,

The money has been approved for the trip.

Work Buddy and I present October 19. We need a travel day each way.
I will miss one day of classes.

Hi,

Work will only give me Thursday and Friday off. Thursday and Saturday are travel days. Hubby and I will be home by Saturday late evening.

Somehow planning for a two night trip in a hotel does not seem too overwhelming.
For example, clothes for one night, one full day, and perhaps a small part of the the third seems like much less to deal with than clothes for three full days.
I should start a packing list and maybe lay out my suitcase so I can start to feel that I am getting ready.
1. meds
2. cpap
3. lap top

and so on.

About 8 years ago in the car hubby and I did the same route and mostly did o.k. together except for one stretch of road in the dark with no lights for about an hour's stretch of highway. He does fine when he is doing something for the second time. I will work it out that we are driving in daylight.


I will have to do some computer work from the hotel to be prepared for Monday.

You definately are thinking clearly about this. And it is douable.

I think having a little work to do is good. Is there going to be
something he can help with. If not I think he needs to plan to
have something to do too. Or maybe you take him some stuff
to do.

Dear Mari,

I am glad that you are feeling ok about the trip - that it is seeming manageable. Also that it is on a familiar route and daytime instead of night. That will be helpful. I agree with Donna about hubby having something along to keep himself occupied.

I feel like the school did not give you any *extra* time off at all - that is typical. I hope you will be fine. As you say it is only a couple of days but still. I will be sending you postive energy.

Default leaving for the trip in a couple of hours

Hi,

I was too sleepy last night to pack for the trip. I am still sleepy now.
I am bringing lots of stuff for a two night stay -- I always feel better when I have lot of stuff and I get stressed if I have to pare my stuff down.

I guess I should start with
~printing out map quest for hubby
~mapping the trip on my phone
~saving our PowerPooint onto a jump drive
~organizing a week's worth of meds into a pill minder even though I will only be gone for two nights
~calling the hotel to see if they they even have our room
Last night hubby was relaxed about letting me decide when we leave and how much stuff I have. I have not spoken to him yet today.

I clicked on my work email. Now I am logged into an online meeting / presentation. There are five of us on the call and we can hear each other

'Kind of hard to participate when I am a little bit preparing to get on the road.

I need to tell every one I have to go. Maybe I will wait until the first few minutes.


Darn. Every word I type to you here non-sense --I have to retype so I am half way understood -- that is how tired I am.
