Trig Freaking out about VA Tech

Hello,
I am freaking out about the VA Tech shootings.
Yesterday I saw some news on the Internet and watched very little TV -- 1 hour of Nightline. Today the same thing. I saw the news for about 30 mintues ( no cable tv running all day). This was enough news to get to me I realize.

Someone tell me to stay off the Internet and turn off the tv completely for a few days.
I'm starting to get into a funk and I need to stop it.

I teach at a college.

Does anyone think it strange that I am wondering about that young man's family and whether or not they are getting support?

M.

Mari,

It freaked me out too but more so last night. My cousin's son was in the building next to the shooting and could hear the gun shots.

I feel bad for everyone involved and I think you are fine with how you feel.

Unhappy

This is absolutely senseless.
I do wonder about the family sense he was displaying all of the symptoms of having an illness.
I wonder how many people wonder this earth sick and suffering getting no treatment???
so very sad.
Hubby teaches too mari,
wonder when there will be more sensitivty training...
Turn off the tv Mari and sleep with your hubby, hold him tight....I am going to do the same.

It's so sad, it was very hard to watch on TV. I can't imagine how you feel Mari - working at a college.

Bizi - so true, so many sick people out there, not getting help.

BF - I am glad your cousin's son is okay, he must be really upset.

It all scares me, because you never know, where you are and these type of things happen........

Mari,

How are you today? Bizi has the right idea to turn off the T.V. and hold your husband close.
