they were supposed to direct deposit me in June (one month after course end).

the summer was crazy and i was ill six different ways and didn't think about it.
i just checked. no deposit.

at least the school is still there.

now i have to go chase this down. saying "i'm not in the mood" is such an understatement. first i have to dig up the bank data again and re-quadruple verify what i gave them is correct. i did that the first time, but i won't feel confident complaining unless i do that again.

second i need a shower.

third i need to call and find out what day the coordinator will be there. i was not going call but useless trip if she's not there. then, i was not going to tell her why i was going but it seems more useful to do so so she can, in good faith, do some digging of her own and maybe get me some answers.



why me?

first the student.
now this.

i feel like i am getting "warning" signs from the universe that teaching might be a wrong turn, even if i have done well at it in the past, and even if it might be better than what i did before. At least as applies to teaching English in this country perhaps.

Have you called to let them know that you haven't been paid for that time?
It might be a simple bookkeeping mistake..or they may be waiting to see if you complain...
You should contact them and let them know you noticed this, they may fix it without a fight and save you having to dig thru papers.

Teachers are what makes the world go around. Please don't give up teaching. You deserve to get paid on time, and should not have to go round and round for them to do this. Can you go to the school board, and find out what the problem is? This is Oct. I can't see an excuse at this point. Sorry this happened to you. Good teachers are needed, never doubt that, there is no future without teachers. ginnie

Sorry for such a late reply. i have been a zombie this week. the tech calling and coming and going threw my sleep off even more... i am not only upside down but also somewhat sleepdeprived. ughh. tomorrow i have my first appointment with new therapist not looking forward to it.

Anyway, regarding the school/pay..............

thank you so much everyone for your wonderfully encouraging words, and advice.

depression can just make every bad thing that happens feel like it's about oneself. i guess i need to try to stay in my head, limit my time there, and keep out of my gut with this one.

so far i haven't even dug up my bank docs against which to re-check the number. the reason though is really just a matter of being really sure. now i did check when i sent it in. so maybe again that's overkill. Jo*mar got me rethinking i could try and call, see what falls - things might be simpler than i imagine.

i know i should jump on this pay thing but feel so out of it.... but i will do my best to get my wits together to squeeze that phone call, someplace. i must remember it's a 5-10 minute job. argh. argh argh argh argghhhhhhh.
