I needed to score some points with my boss after a bad meeting on Tuesday so on Wednesday I asked her if she could come to one of my classes and do something breath work with my students (she has been doing yoga forever and sometimes teaches classes here and there).

She "thanked" me for "inviting" her.
She spent a half an hour teaching them three breaths, asked them to briefly write about how they feel their power, spoke a little about yoga, and took a question or two.
Then I let the class go a few minutes early and texted her a "thank you."

I feel better now about the relationship she and I have. She clearly was happy that I asked her to share her yoga gift.

Dear Mari

That is wonderful! You had a truly inspired idea there! :) ... and you really hit the bullseye with it! :)

Not least, that lesson will directly benefit your students with all-school related stress if they apply it, and in even broader contexts. Now you have me thinking, wow, if only relaxation/breathing techniques were more often made part of the curricula...

Anyway I am really happy that you feel better now in your relationship with your boss. A job no matter how beloved can become very stressful and burdensome when that relationship is strained.

Well done and keep up the good work. ;)http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/im.../thumbs_up.gif

I woke up too early.

I set my alarm!!!!! Last night when I was messing around with the clocks, I set my alarm even though it is still the weekend and I might have slept in a little.

What is wrong with me? How does a person mess up a time change??

Hi,

I have a lot of work to do Tuesday at home.
I will have the work completed at 7:00 p.m. so I can watch the election results.

With luck and harmony, the night is resolved happily.

Sleepy

I have been listening to sad music.

I am too tired to brush my teeth and go to bed.
