I have a Workshop I've been dreaming about for years tomorrow.

Its Communication between Parents and schools.

So far we have 20 registered for it. I think more professionals than
parents so far. Its going to be a first or close to it.

That I've had the count. That I've known so many are professionals.

I am a little concerned the news didn't get to parents.

I should have figured out a way to get it to them. Ugh.

Well my workshop went well.

But I'm disappointed, we only had 15 present plus the 3 of us. And the
Director.

I'm a little upset for some reason I only had four parents.

I know I had 3 or 4 more RSVP, so its sad they didn't show up.

But its life, and its the way it gets.

I'm sure you did grate for your first meeting,and I am sure that the more meetings you have and the more the word gets out what a good job you all are doing that it will get much better

I wonder about that too Bizi. Were they always there and unacknowledged or are we eating chemicals or something that makes it more prevalent? Maybe it's similar to bipolar disorder. You never heard of it fifty years ago but you were aware of the occasional suicide, generally attributed to someone who was 'weak'.

The study suggests that three or four children in a typical elementary school classroom have development disabilities. Some of the increase may be the result of the rise in premature birth, which leaves some babies with lasting impairments, says study author Sheree Boulet of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. One in eight babies today are born prematurely, according to the March of Dimes

And some, such as Philip Landrigan of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, say improvements in screening and diagnosis can't completely explain the increase. Landrigan says research suggests that environmental chemicals, such as pesticides and the phthalates found in many soft plastics and cosmetics, can affect children's development.

I wonder if in the past we were more willing to put up with differences and some oddness.
