This Nebula has a strange name,but it's a beautiful Nebula.

2013 May 29: NGC 6960: The Witch s Broom Nebula

It looks like blue waves to me. It looks like a surfers wave in space.

bizi I don't know. I've seen dimer blues. This may be a picture from a infra-red camera,or a different light spectrum camera on the Hubble,or another space telescope. Good question. BF

Bizi,

My guess is that mostly they are not coloring them.
They are using high quality cameras.
Here is the explanation of this picture:
