Question eye twitching

Hi,

What is causing my right eye-lid to twitch? It started Monday.

Could I try some eye drops right now?
Or take some magnesium and B12 -- both are safe for stomach at night I think.

I don't know what is good for eye twitching. How is your mood?

Hi Mari ---I just got over mine in March it took 3 months even went to eye dr said it happens,he said it could resolve quickly or take 6 months if it goes on longer then 6 months he was going to inject botox in it --but I think Mrs D said try magnesium and I did ---it may have helped. I know it started to become annoying and i was more concerned it was from my neck a nerve but they said no. I hope yours resolves much quicker then mine.

Oh gosh Mari how annoying. You don't have cervical issues do you? From my neck the nerve to the muscle in my eye is weak and when fatigued it lets it twitch.

Do you have allergies, or histamine problems?
Feel better soon.

I've had a twitching eyelid before. I don't remember how long it occurred, and I don't remember when it stopped.

I've had twitching muscles in various areas in my body, and they stop after a short,or longer period of time. BF

Default magnesium, B complex esp B6, a little zinc.

magnesium and b6 for the twitching/tic, less likely b12. i'd use balanced b complex with good b6 content, b6 needs other b vits to work, esp b1 and b2.

also possibly zinc if it seems stress-related.

use sensible amounts - check the %RDA / %DV. avoid megadoses.

toxicity:
... zinc can displace copper.
... B6 in large doses can cause permanent harm to the nervous system.

Just a little humor. Zinc does displace copper on the new pennies. The core of a penny is zinc, because the cost of copper has gone way up.
What I said doesn't go along with the topic. I'm just trying to be silly. BF

Hi, Waves,

A day or two after I posted this (April 17),
I started taking a small dose of my multi vits (w/ zinc and the B's), magnesium, fish oil, flax seed oil, and while I was at it, I started back on my Vit D and Vit C. I have been pretty good at taking them and the eye twitching is gone mostly.
